Many girls often want to change their image - to make it more lively and expressive. To do this, they resort to different methods, but the most basic of them is hair coloring. However, after staining, they encounter a new problem - overgrown roots, which can be removed using a procedure such as dimout.

What it is?

As already mentioned earlier, a dimout is a completely new procedure, with the help of which overgrown roots are eliminated or specially darkened in order to give the hair a special look. This happens as follows: the stylist paints the root zone of the hair in a darker color than the main one. Thus, the hair looks more groomed and neat.

Performance technique

The painting technique depends entirely on the chosen color and type of staining. It does not differ in increased complexity and consists of very simple actions.

  1. First of all, the desired shade is selected. It is very important to choose it correctly, because the further look of the hairstyle will depend on it.
  2. Next, you can separate the strands from each other and begin to paint the roots. Apply, shading towards the main length of the hair, without touching them. If fragment dimming is selected, only the selected area should be painted.
  3. Apply the coloring agent very quickly and carefully.
  4. Now it remains only to keep the dye on the hair for a set time, which, as a rule, is indicated in the instructions.
  5. As soon as the time runs out completely, the product can be safely washed off.

It is important to ensure that the rest of the hair is not stained with paint. To do this, you can use a special mask with a moisturizing effect.

You will learn more about how coloring the dimout is performed from the following video.

Types of staining

For individual parts of the head, there are different types of dimout.

  • The effect of overgrown roots. This is the simplest and most basic method. It involves staining the root zone. As the color, the closest shade to the main one is selected, however, it should be slightly darker.
  • Ash staining. This type is most suitable for blondes and girls with extremely blond hair. The whole process consists of painting the roots with ashen paint. Using this method, you can achieve very interesting and sophisticated transitions.
  • Fragment dimming. In this case, you can dye any part of the head, such as a bang or the back of the head.

Also, when making a dimout, they also rely on such factors as the length of the hair and their color.

For brunettes, such a procedure is categorically not suitable, since it is pointless to color their roots in dark color - it will not work to create an interesting image.

For other colors, the dimout is completely acceptable, especially for blondes. The transition from dark roots to light hair will make the hair volumetric and unique.

The same applies to red and blond girls: choosing the right shade, their image will sparkle with new colors.

As for hair length, difficulties can arise when working with short hair. Here you need to be extremely careful and accurate, gradually reducing the staining area. This is necessary to create a smooth transition: so the hair looks more beautiful.

In general, the equipment of the dimout is not particularly difficult, and it is possible to perform it at home. Nevertheless, even such work requires special accuracy and professionalism, so it is best to contact specialists who are able to do the job correctly and efficiently.
