Each country boasts an original national robe. The Scots demonstrate plaid skirts, the Japanese still appear on the streets in a kimono. Germany was no exception! A state with such a rich, eventful history simply could not stand by.

If a modern person hears about the national costume of Germany, a clear picture will immediately appear in his imagination. The traditional German outfit is the easiest to recognize, and all thanks to festivals, often held around the world. The costume absorbed every distinguishing feature of German culture.

The history of the creation of the national costume began in ancient times, back in the days of primitive society. The territory of modern Germany could provide animal skins to the settlers, from which people hardly made warm caftans. This can not be called a traditional outfit, but it was then that the culture of the Germans arose. There was nothing aesthetic in the ancient garment - it was only necessary to provide yourself with heat and protection from small insects.
