Hydrophilic oil has appeared on the Russian cosmetic market relatively recently. It looks like an ordinary vegetable, but has completely different features and characteristics. Its characteristic feature is the ability to dissolve in water.

What it is?

For evening cleansing of the skin, our compatriots most often use gels, tonics, lotions, micellar water is also popular, but all these funds often dry the skin. That is why as soon as hydrophilic oil appeared on the domestic market, many immediately preferred it. It quite gently acts on the lipid layer of the skin, perfectly removes makeup, and can be used on any type of skin.

To assess the effectiveness of the tool, first you need to understand the theory of the issue.

Everyone knows from the school chemistry course that fatty substances do not have the ability to dissolve in water and mix with it - this is the nature, and no matter how intensely you interfere with it, a miracle will not happen - when shaken, drops of oil are simply distributed throughout the water column and will form emulsion. After a few minutes, they again separate from each other. To prevent this, a special component is introduced into the oil - an emulsifier, usually polysorbate is used in this capacity. It makes the emulsion more stable and gives hydrophilic parameters.

The resulting product is completely hypoallergenic. Thus, we can safely say that hydrophilic oil is an exceptionally versatile skin care product for completely cleansing the skin, effectively moisturizing it and removing cosmetic residues.It differs from all other types of products with similar functionality in the ability to react with water already on the surface of the skin.

The tool was created by Korean scientists a few decades ago, but despite this, officially this technology was patented only in the second half of the last century in Japan.

Some women believe that this is, in general, a useless product, the love of which is explained by a simple tribute to fashion for everything Korean, but this is not so. Those who tried the tool have already appreciated its effectiveness and undoubted advantages in comparison with analogues. The product effectively removes even waterproof cosmetics. During application, deep pore cleaning occurs, and in addition, easy exfoliation and removal of the upper keratinized layer is performed.

Unlike usual scrubs, this procedure does not dry the skin, and in comparison with ordinary gels and light cleansing foams, it performs a deeper cleaning, while the user does not have a feeling of tightness of the skin.

It is noteworthy that this is the only tool that flushes the product labeled “BB” - that is, a product that has the peculiarity of accumulating in the pores and thoroughly clog them.

Upon contact with even a small amount of water remaining on the surface of the skin, the fat is converted into a white emulsion, which is quite simply washed off the face.

This tool is optimal for different types of skin:

  • oily;
  • problematic with large pores;
  • dry;
  • with acne, inflammation and comedones;
  • with rosacea;
  • for a person affected by age-related changes.

What can be replaced?

Unfortunately, today it is impossible to find inexpensive hydrophilic oil on the market in the low price segment, the cost of the product starts from 1000 rubles, so the product can not be called affordable. However, this is not a reason to despair, because the analogue of such an oil can be made independently at home. All that is needed for this is a little time and polysorbate, which can be purchased through online stores. Usually, this natural emulsifier is produced under the working name "Twin", of course, it also costs money, but the total cost of the product will still be lower than that of the finished store oil.

To make a solution at home you will need:

  • "Twin-80", as well as "Twin-20";
  • 10-20 drops of any aromatic oil to taste;
  • Vitamins A and E - approximately 2 ml.

The emulsifier is diluted with water in a ratio of 1 to 9. “Tween-80” is used to dissolve the basic ingredients, and “Tween-20” is needed for ethers. The addition of vitamins determines the anti-aging effect of the drug, causes a reduction in wrinkles and stimulates increased production of elastane.

After all the main ingredients are combined, it is necessary to place the solution in a cool dark place and get it out of there every day before use.

It should be noted that the desired effect can be achieved only with polysorbate, but sometimes take its analogue - oliverderm.

To prepare a hydrophilic cleansing oil based on it, it is necessary to prepare oil extracts:

  • jojoba - 30 ml;
  • evening primrose - 5 ml;
  • pink - 5 ml;
  • and olivderm itself - 15 ml.

      As in the previous case, all the necessary components are mixed and sent for storage.

      It should be noted that olivderm is less effective than polysorbate, so you will notice the results of using a cleanser only after 2-3 weeks, while polysorbate will allow you to notice the difference already in the fourth application.

      Structure

      The main components of hydrophilic oil are:

      • an oil base, which is about 80-95% of the total volume of the drug, and absolutely any oils can be included - shea butter, as well as apricot, pink or jojoba;
      • emulsifier is the main ingredient that determines the complete dissolution of the oily component in water and the ability to penetrate deep into the pores and layers of the dermis, delicately cleansing and exfoliating them.

      As a rule, this component accounts for 5-15% of the total product.

      In addition, the “hydrophilic” contains special caring components, such as fat-soluble vitamins A and E, as well as extracts of aromatic oils (lemon, as well as rosemary or neroli), as well as a small amount of fruit acids - citric or malic are most often used.

      Regular use of such a product is guaranteed to have a high effect.expressed in improving the condition, appearance and color of the skin - after just a few uses, it becomes fresh and healthy due to the fact that the product is not only deeply cleansing, but also has a gentle caring effect.

      Rating

      Hydrophilic oil belongs to Asian products, so you can always find such a tool in Asian cosmetics stores - Korean or Japanese, as well as order through specialized Internet sites.

      The most effective hydrophilic oils are offered on the market in three price groups: mass market, luxury and Asian.

      The most popular are Asian, in this segment the following formulations are common.

      Real Soybean Deep Cleansing Oil - This is an oil from Mizon, which is characterized by a high concentration of natural components. The product includes a wide variety of types of oil - jojoba, as well as olive or camellia. It is characterized by exceptional hypoallergenicity, effectively cleanses and does not clog pores. According to 2017, the average bill for this product was 1,500 rubles.

      A bit cheaper Perfect Watery Oil by Shiseido. It can be purchased for 800-900 rubles. The product is specifically designed for problematic skin types that are prone to acne and acne. In addition to the main ingredients, it contains many anti-inflammatory components that prevent the appearance of irritations on the skin.

      Another effective means - Soda Pore Cleansing (Holika Holika). This is a "hydrophilic" with a high concentration of fat-soluble vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant and has a pronounced anti-aging effect, which is why it is often used to cleanse the skin with pronounced age-related changes. The product gently cleanses, while not giving a feeling of dryness and does not cause injury to the skin. The cost is about 1200 rubles.

      Hydrophilic oils of the Lux segment are aimed at wealthy consumers.

      Among the most effective are such.

      Extreme Cleanser Balancing Cleansing Dry Oil, manufacturer - Make Up For Ever. Mineral oil is completely excluded in the structure of the product, and the main components are extracts of rosemary and green pepper. This tool is optimal for delicate and sensitive skin without comedones, but its cost starts from 2000 rubles.

      Another interesting product - Soothing Cleansing Oil by Bobbi Brown. This is one of the most expensive formulations, which is offered to consumers at a price of 3500-3700 per package. It contains jojoba, olive, and sunflower extracts.

      Well-known cosmetics company Lancôme also released its hydrophilic oil called Energie de vie the cleansing. Its use is distinguished by an exceptionally gentle and delicate effect on the dermis without the risk of injury. It includes effective anti-aging ingredients, healing vitamins, as well as extracts from soy seeds and gentian roots. In stores, it is sold at a price of about 3000 rubles.

      The products from Kosmetista are in demand.

      Product analogs from the mass market sector have nothing to do with Asian products, all of them are made by Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian enterprises and have much lower efficiency.However, their cost is much lower.

      Among the products in this category are the following.

      "Magic of Morocco" from the enterprise "Belita". The product removes decorative cosmetics well, cleans even the deepest pores, and also tones the skin a little. The basic ingredients are grape oil and sesame extract.

      "Argan" from the enterprise "Spivak". This tool very gently cleanses the upper layers of the skin and saturates it with nutrients, while there is no drying out and drying of the dermis. The basic components are extracts of almonds and argon.

      "Bio-oil" from the domestic brand "Black Pearl". Almond oil as well as argan oil are the main ingredients of this product. The tool successfully removes any makeup, and also allows you to maintain a standard level of acid-base balance.

      The cost of such funds does not exceed 350 rubles, but the effect can be seen only after a few weeks of use.

      How to choose?

      The wide range of hydrophilic oils presented on the trading shelves and the wide range of prices for them can confuse any consumer. However, there is no need to get lost - if you follow the advice of experienced experts and cosmetologists, you can competently choose a high-quality product that will be optimal for a particular skin type.

      Firstly, it is necessary to pay attention to the composition of the product, the safety of use and the effectiveness of exposure to the dermis depend on it.

      In the "hydrophilic" must include several types of vegetable oils, preferably - natural, but the inclusion of analogues - mineral oils. Many are afraid of this component, but in vain: oils obtained from a mixture of refined petroleum fats effectively cleanse and prevent dermis from drying out, in addition, they are universal.

      Secondly, try to choose a product in accordance with the characteristics of your skin. By the way, the theory of the incompatibility of “hydrophilic” with oily skin is a big mistake, this product can be used for oily, combination skin, and dry skin. It cleanses deep pores well, removes all impurities accumulated on the surface layer and reduces the production of sebum, and in addition, relieves inflammation and soothes. In order not to make mistakes in the choice, it is necessary to pay attention to the mark, which indicates for which type of skin the use of oil is recommended.

      Well, of course, keep in mind that the original product is expensive, so all options with a low price are analogues that have poorly expressed effectiveness.

      Recommendations for use

      "Hydrophilic" needs to be used wisely. The method of its application involves 3 main stages and differs in some of its features.

      The most important thing is to apply the drug only on dry skin. You do not need to wash your face and remove makeup in advance. Once on the surface of the skin, it immediately begins to split and firmly bind skin fats, which are included in large amounts in foundation, concealers, powder and other varieties of makeup.

      It should also be used to cleanse the neck, ears and even the eyes.

      The tool is used very economically - you do not need to pour half a bottle onto a cotton pad. 3-4 drops will be enough, which are applied by massage movements throughout the face. It is imperative that the hands remain completely dry at this point, otherwise contact with water will convert the oil into a liquid emulsion and the cleaning result will not be as effective. Much attention needs to be focused on problem areas with expanded pores and unaesthetic black spots.

      After applying the drug, you should wait about two minutes until the "hydrophilic" dissolves the accumulated contaminants.

      Then it is necessary to turn the oil into an easily washable emulsion.To do this, you need warm water - it will be quite enough to wet your hands a little and rub your face with them, then wash your face with running water.

      At the final stage, use a cleansing foam to get rid of oil residues.

      Hydrophilic oil is completely hypoallergenic and has virtually no contraindications. Many are embarrassed by its texture. Women are afraid that the product may cause clogging of pores. But no need to worry - when interacting with water, oil is removed from the surface of the skin, the main thing in this case is to use gels or foam to remove the remnants of the undissolved product.

      However, there are a number of limitations associated with the individual characteristics of the skin. So, if you have enlarged pores that quickly clog, then you should refrain from "hydrophilic" containing mineral oils in its composition. However, a high-quality and expensive product of such a component does not include at all, but in analogues it is represented quite widely. It is optimal for frequent use, it can be applied daily, preferably immediately before bedtime. But with a light morning wash, the use of oil does not make sense - at this time of the day it is better to do with a normal foam or tonic.

      Reviews

      Reviews about hydrophilic oil for the most part are positive, many begin to use it on the advice of friends and already after the first applications notice the difference.

      Women of all ages note that cosmetics are washed off quite easily and simply, no prolonged washing and soap rubs are needed, while after using the product the skin seems to become radiant and acquires a pleasant healthy color, and after a few weeks its elasticity improves significantly. Some even note that with regular use, the contour of the face is tightened.

      The tool is quite universal - many even use it to cleanse contaminated hair and for intimate hygiene.

      The only negative is the price, a quality product costs at least 1000 rubles, and all the cheaper products are just fakes, the effectiveness of which is very doubtful: they wash off makeup, but at the same time there is no improvement in the structure of the skin and the healing effect is rather weak. However, this drawback is offset by the economy of spending - 3-4 drops are needed for one use, so one package can last for several months.
