Cats, without a doubt, occupy a leading position among pets. Persian white cats won special love of breeders. A pet with white hair and expressive eyes will become the decoration and pride of any home. Despite the rather capricious behavior, the Persians are very friendly and get along well with all the households.
Breed description
According to historical information, the Persian cat first appeared in Europe several millennia ago. He was brought from the Persian province by the famous Italian traveler Pietro della Valle. He was struck by the amazing appearance of the animal. Subsequently, the Persians appeared in France and instantly won the love of its inhabitants.
Nowadays, Russian breeders are increasingly choosing this amazing breed.
Charming pets have distinctive features. These include the following features of the breed.
- Squat torso with miniature paws.
- Broad chest and shoulders.
- The head is large with neat ears.
- Massive neck of medium length.
- Thick coat (up to 12 cm long). To the touch - soft and silky.
- The shape of the muzzle is flattened, with expressive eyes and a wide pink nose.
- Strong jaw with sharp teeth.
Regarding the character, then the Persians are “completely” domestic cats. They are very affectionate and quite calm. Moreover, they are ideal “friends” for children, as they are not afraid of them and are happy to make contact with small households. Note that representatives of this breed are quite curious, therefore they are constantly researching and looking for new toys. Persian cats are gentle and responsive pets that faithfully serve their breeders throughout their lives.
Note that the Persians are "silent" and do not emit a large number of sounds. If the pet wants to attract the attention of the owner, then it starts to spin around it and looks ingratiatingly into the eyes.
White color
In the classic version, snow-white Persian cats are blue-eyed, but individuals with brown (orange) eyes are found. In addition, unusual pets with eyes of different colors are born. This breed is characterized by heterochromia, which is a kind of "highlight" of the animal. White Persians have a long, dense coat. Color should be free from impurities and extraneous shades.
An interesting observation is noted by breeders: Persian kittens of a white color are born with a speck on their head (black, red or beige), which disappears as they grow older.
According to experts, the Persian white variety with blue eyes may be deaf or blind from birth. Veterinarians advise a couple of such individuals to choose a healthy animal. Thus, the risk of developing inferior offspring is reduced.
Content Features
Naturally, Persian white kittens require careful care. Particular attention is paid to the eyes. This breed is a “crybaby” due to physiological characteristics, so eye care begins at the age of two months. They are wiped daily with dry sterile gauze. If the discharge is plentiful, then special drops will help the animal. Since the kittens are fluffy, hairs can get into the eyes and cause irritation. The owner must remove the foreign object in time and rinse the eyes of the pet.
White Persian cats require regular washing and combing. The kitten is taught to water procedures from the very first day of appearance in the house. They bathe a snow-white pet once every 14 days using special shampoos and conditioners. After the procedure, “fluff” is wrapped in a soft towel, and after a few minutes, the hair is gently combed. It can be pre-coated with a softening spray that will facilitate the process.
The cat is combed out every day, as long hair can be confused, and there is a risk of forming tangles.
In the arsenal of the Persian breeder, metal combs and volume brushes with a hard pile must be present.
The nutrition of Persian kittens should be balanced and portioned. Pets treat themselves twice a day. Experts advise breeders to combine quality nutrition with homemade food. The diet of the Persians should contain a large number of proteins that are found in meat, fish and eggs. In order for the pet's hair to always be shiny and silky, the owner must add to the food mineral and vitamin complexes.
Dry food for Persian cats must be purchased at pet stores only from a trusted manufacturer.
For pets of snow-white color, a clean tray with a natural filler is important, which does not stick to the legs and does not stain them.
