Features and Benefits

Winter Finnish overalls have gained wide popularity and fame among Russian consumers due to their excellent quality and excellent heat-saving properties.

Unlike most leading European clothing producing countries, Finland’s climate is similar to that of Russia, and the Finnish winter is just as unpredictable and harsh as in most regions of Russia. In addition, it is attractive that the warm winter Finnish overalls are not thick and heavy at all, but light and relatively thin due to the use of high-tech materials.

Finnish children's overalls are warm, comfortable, functional, practical, bright and quite attractive in appearance.

It not only warms well, but also does not get wet during rain or snow, perfectly breathes, is almost not polluted, and is perfectly cleaned. On overalls, many reflective details are sewn for the safety of children in the dark.

A detachable hood with puffs will protect the baby's head and neck from the cold and wind. Rubber or silicone detachable dies will protect against snow. Taped or soldered seams will prevent moisture from entering the product.

Winter overalls are designed for long walks in the fresh air even at extremely low temperatures. They are easy to put on and take off, with just one movement of the hand.

Such clothes do not constrain movements and at the same time do not allow hypothermia. Finnish overalls are quite durable, they are worn by more than one generation of children, they are passed on from the siblings several times in excellent condition.

The most vulnerable places, such as the priest, the bottom of the legs, knees, and even elbows, are reinforced by Finnish manufacturers with special extra-strong material called cordura.

As you know, most winter overalls from Finland “plus” (+ 4 or + 6 to size), so they can be worn safely for 2 winters in a row. In addition, on most “baby” models there are lapels on the arms and legs, this is a kind of “reserve” for growth.

As for the price, here everyone can choose a product to their liking, but also by wallet. The approximate cost of overalls is from 3 to 7 thousand rubles, depending on the brand, model and size. In extreme cases, you can resort to buying a winter Finnish overalls in the secondary market, since, as a rule, such a product after one child does not lose its consumer properties.

Kinds

Winter Finnish overalls are available both separate and merged.

Separate sets consist of trousers / semi-overalls and a jacket. The semi-overalls may look like regular pants with wide, adjustable, often removable suspenders, or he may have a full chest and back made of fleece or the same material as the pants themselves.

The main advantage of a separate winter overalls is that when you enter the room you can quickly and easily take off your jacket, not allowing the child to overheat. In addition, this model allows you to wash only the soiled part of the kit. If after a walk you need to wash your trousers, the child can continue to wear a jacket.

One-piece (one-piece) Finnish winter overalls are no less popular, since they are much warmer and more comfortable than in a separate kit or suit. They are especially good for small children, this is the most convenient option for long winter walks.

One-piece jumpsuit is easy to put on, it is comfortable to move in, and it does not bully even during the most active movements. Parents do not need to fear that the child will be blown away, since in the whole jumpsuit there is no gap between the jacket and trousers.

Finnish manufacturers take care of newborns by releasing for them a special line of winter overalls. Everything is presented in it for the maximum comfort of kids who still do not know how to actively move.

The clasp of the transformer overalls consists of two zippers to enhance the convenience of dressing children in a prone position.

Most of these overalls, if desired, can be transformed into an envelope bag for sleeping with the help of zippers sewn at the bottom. Such transformer models are suitable for 2 winter seasons, as they are designed for age from birth to one and a half years.

Color

It is worth mentioning the wide color gamut of winter overalls produced by the most famous Finnish brands.

If heterosexual children grow up in a family, then it is most convenient to choose the “unisex” category for purchase - yellow, bright blue, green, khaki, chocolate - all these shades will suit both boys and girls.

Multi-colored stripe overalls are also purchased for children of both sexes.

For kids, all kinds of funny animals will be a neutral print - bunnies, foxes, bears, pandas, lambs, penguins, frogs, bees, as well as stars and any "geometry".

Separately, for little princesses, you can purchase winter overalls in pink, blackberry, coral, burgundy or cyclamen shades. The most popular prints for girls are flowers, hearts and snowflakes.

Young gentlemen can diversify their wardrobe in blue, brown or gray tones. Manufacturers indulge boys with images of cars, airplanes, robots, monsters and balls.

Material

Finnish manufacturers pay special attention to fabrics and other materials from which winter overalls are sewn.

As an external material, both ordinary and membrane tissues can be used.

In any case, high-quality materials are used that are highly resistant to rubbing, tension and tearing. They usually “breathe” and provide excellent protection against frost, wind and moisture.

In addition, the upper fabric is treated by manufacturers with a special composition that does not allow dirt to be absorbed into the product. Thanks to this, Finnish winter overalls can be washed quite rarely, just a couple of times a season.

In order to avoid damage to the structure of the outer fabric and the protective coating applied during the production, ordinary washing powders should not be used, only special detergents are recommended by the manufacturers. Slight contamination can be removed with a damp sponge or under running warm water.

Winter overalls made in Finland are sewn with or without inner fleece insulation. In the second case, you will have to separately purchase a sub-stock of fleece or thin wool. For some overalls, manufacturers offer to purchase special linings, fastened with a zipper or buttons. The principle of layering in the preparation of a winter outfit will not allow the child to freeze in the cold.

The insulation in Finnish winter overalls is light and hypoallergenic:

  • tinsulate;
  • holofiber;
  • thermophile;
  • waltherm;
  • isosoft.

Thanks to the finest fibers in their structure, they allow you to save maximum heat inside the overalls. The product, insulated with modern filler, dries quickly and does not deform during washing or active wear. All heaters used for tailoring overalls are certified according to the most stringent European standards and are recommended for the production of safe children's clothing.

The maximum amount of artificial insulation in Finnish winter overalls is 300-350 grams, the minimum is 200. For our northern winters, insulation with a density of 280-350 grams is suitable, and insulation with a lower density can only be recommended for outdoor activities at a temperature near zero. Winter Finnish overalls with a maximum amount of insulation can withstand frosts up to -25-30 degrees.

Often, natural fluff is used as a heater. Downy overalls have their pros and cons. Of course, the natural filler is more environmentally friendly, but despite this, duck down is not sufficiently heat-resistant for severe frosts, and goose down is on the contrary too hot, especially for mobile children. In addition, dust mites dangerous for allergy sufferers can be found in natural insulation, it absorbs moisture greatly and dries for a long time.

Brands

The most famous and popular Finnish brands in Russia engaged in the production of children's clothing are Reima, Lassie by Reima, Huppa, Kerry, Remu, Lappi Kids and Reike.

And although their prices are slightly higher than similar counterparts made in Russia, China, Poland or Belarus, it is worth remembering that Finnish winter overalls are a good investment in a quality product, a sense of security and a great mood!
