White Husky: color features and care rules

Husky is considered the most popular breed of dogs, most often these pets are acquired by athletic and active people who prefer to spend free time dynamically. Despite the fact that animals of this breed are presented in different colors, white husky is in greatest demand, which differs not only in a spectacular appearance, but also in its good nature.

White husky breed appeared a long time ago - more than a thousand years ago. It was brought out by the people inhabiting the territories of Eastern and Northern Siberia. Since the settlement of people was far from civilization, the purebred breed is perfectly preserved to our times. At the beginning of the 20th century, gold miners from America, who participated in dog sled races, immediately drew attention to these dogs and bought several dozen of them, after which the huskies appeared in the USA. As for Russia, the species was introduced into its territory from Belgium and the Czech Republic only in 1995.

White husky is considered not only a good companion, but also a reliable and faithful friend. Despite the fact that these pets are domestic, the blood of northern dogs and wolves flows in their veins. A dog of this kind is medium in size, it is fast, light and moves elegantly. The animal has a rather compact body with gorgeous hair, so fluffy pets do not leave anyone indifferent. The ears of the dogs are of medium size, besides they are erect, triangular in shape, the tail is well lowered.

Female huskies have a special grace; they have a fragile and sophisticated body. As for the males, they look courageously due to the powerful muscular skeleton. As the rules at the withers, pets reach no more than 60 cm, their weight varies from 25 to 28 kg.

The snow-white husky has a slightly elongated body, so this breed is referred to as a rectangular format. The head of the animal is not wide with slightly raised lips. The main feature of this dog are the almond-shaped eyes, the color of which may be different. Most often, they are brown in the representatives of the species, but individuals with blue eyes are also found. It is worth paying attention to the fact that both eyes may be the same or different same color (one is blue and the other is brown).

The neck of the animals is curved and rather strong, the shoulder blades are sloping. The chest is barrel-shaped, not wide. The chest is usually of medium fullness, which allows dogs to move freely, while the internal organs are not constrained during movement. The limbs of white handsome men are moderately set, straight and placed parallel to each other. In addition, huskies are owners of powerful hips.

The paws of the white husky are perfectly adapted for movement on snowy roads, since the snow never gets stuck between the pads. During the run, animals move in gait, move very easily, quickly, which looks like a “flight” above the ground. During movement, balance is maintained thanks to the tail, which is always straightened.

White huskies are found in nature much less frequently than representatives of a different color. They look spectacular and bewitching. It is worth noting that such dogs are not albinos, because by the standard they have a dark brown or black nose and pigmentation on the lips.

A puppy of white color can be born only in that couple where dad and mother are carriers of the snow-white gene, while they do not need to have a white color. For beginning dog breeders, experts recommend using exclusively “white” parents for the bunch. This will increase the likelihood that in one litter all puppies will be completely white. Kids are characterized by good health and quickly learn in training.

Representatives of the Husky breed have a good-natured character and do not show aggressiveness towards other animals and people. The main feature of these dogs is a high level of intelligence: they are able to independently make decisions and evaluate any situation. In addition, the animals have well-developed “running” qualities, so often during walks they “pull” their master on a leash forward.

Husky are extremely sociable animals that require a lot of care and attention. This breed is classified as flock, because in the distant past, dogs almost constantly interacted with each other when riding in teams. If the owner of the pet cannot provide him with a pack, he becomes a "pack" for the dog.

Snow-white handsome people have high physical activity and are always looking for an opportunity to throw it out. In the house, animals behave perfectly, are affectionate with children, are friends with other pets. The only minus of this breed is a lost instinct, because of this they cannot be good bodyguards.

White huskies are very demanding of care, so they constantly require the attention of their master. This should not frighten novice dog breeders, since it is not necessary to have certain skills to keep such pets. The most important thing is that the pet is always provided with a balanced diet and has a well-groomed appearance (shiny coat).

The main rule in the content of a husky is regular combing of wool, which can be done with a special comb or metal comb. Thanks to this, it is possible to rid the animal of excess fluffiness in the undercoat. During molting, this procedure is carried out twice a day, with particular attention to the body, collar, and lush “pants” of the animal.

Besides, Husky also need to bathe, do it infrequently - once a quarter. Since snow-white wool often gets dirty in rainy weather, it is recommended to wear a raincoat on your pet during walks. As for winter, at this time of the year dogs for walking on the street do not need to be insulated, because they do not freeze.

Husky love to walk in the fresh air. In the snowy winter, before walking the pet on the street, you need to wear bright accessories (harnesses or collars), this will allow you to quickly notice them on a common white background. Since representatives of this breed can escape from the owner, they are not recommended to walk without a leash. Seeing another dog or small animal, the husky will immediately chase after them.

A huge role in the content of white husky is played by the correctly selected type of food. When compiling an animal’s diet, a number of rules must be followed.

• It is strictly forbidden to feed a dog of this type with food “from the table”, the menu should be selected, taking into account the presence in the products of all the necessary trace elements and substances.
• The pet should always eat on a schedule that should be strictly observed. It is enough for an adult to give food twice a day. If you do not observe the frequency of feeding, then this will affect the health status of the animal.
• The daily husky diet should consist of natural nutrition and dry (factory) feed. At the same time, it is best to purchase dry food in super-premium class: it includes lamb, turkey and fish meat. After feeding, the dog must be given fresh water, access to which must be constant. In the case when the owner prefers to feed the pet with natural products, then the balance of each portion should be controlled. It is allowed to give husky fruits, vegetables, sea fish, lactic acid products, raw meat, and also greens.
• When purchasing a puppy from a breeder or in a kennel, you must be sure to ask what he was fed in the kennel, and not to change his usual diet for the first week. Feeding small dogs must be treated with great responsibility, otherwise improper nutrition can disrupt their gastrointestinal tract.

Before deciding to buy a white husky, its future owner should be prepared for the fact that he will have to deal with dog training regularly, as this is one of the important points of its maintenance.

Thanks to such lessons, the pet will be able to learn standard teams and build trust with its owner. In addition, during group training, the puppy will not only acquire new skills, but will also be able to communicate with her relatives, which is very important psychologically.

After the baby grows up, the usual trainings will need to be supplemented with sports activities: taking the pet to freestyle, Frisbee courses, agile and learning various tricks with him.

In winter, training with a dog is best done in places where there is a lot of snow, using a harness and ski for outdoor activities.In the summer, you can go out of town with your pet, where you can organize jogging or cycling. Husky showed themselves remarkably well in such a test as coursing (running after a mechanical egg), so they manage to throw out excess energy as much as possible.

When training dogs on their own at home, special recommendations must be considered.

• Before each new activity with the pet, its owner must tune in to the absence of aggression, perseverance and consistency. In no case should you break down on an animal and beat it. If the owner is in a bad mood, the husky will immediately feel and think that something bad has happened.
• In addition to periodic training on the street, educational activities should be carried out with the dog in the house. The animal should not spoil things and furniture in the room. In order to distract the pet from "pampering", he needs to buy special toys, this will save shoes and furniture from sharp teeth.
• It is also considered important to learn how to husky the cage, this will be useful in the future during long trips. The owner needs to pre-purchase a structure of sufficient size, in which the adult would feel comfortable and could freely rotate. It is impossible to close a pet in a cage by force - he must independently feel that it is “his territory”, and not a place for punishment.
