Something like this might look like an exemplary living room in a Chinese style. Its developers have tried to use old-fashioned dark wood furniture. Curved elements and traditional ornaments only add color. Symmetrical lamps with elegant lampshades express the orderliness characteristic of the Chinese tradition. The light back wall is a very good backdrop.

An Indian living room with a red wall just might look like this. Elegant dark wood furniture matches the general orientation of the eastern interiors.
