The archaeologist O. I. Dombrovsky established that in the period from the 9th to the 15th centuries there were approximately 6 settlements on the territory of the rocky plateau. Evidence of such a statement was discovered during a thorough study of the area. Some historians believe that local residents began to build strong defensive walls after the peoples of the Khazar Khaganate attacked the land. Old-timers of settlements located near the mountain claim to have seen former temple attendants above the cliff of ghosts (historians discovered the remains of an old church while exploring the mountain). Locals describe ghosts as elders in long hoodies.

If you do not want to look for a path in the mountain on your own, the best solution for you would be a tourist route passing through this attraction. The tours through the “Leaky Couloir” are very popular. This is a passage in the rock through which you can reach Mount Boyka.

But you can also use public transport to get to the cliff from Yalta, but you will have to make a transfer in Simferopol. You can get to the village of Sokolinoe from Sevastopol by bus.
