Where is?
The natural site is located in the Bakhchisaray district. Nearby is a large settlement called Sokolinoye. And also nearby were the villages of Aromatnoye and Bogatyr. History

It is believed that this area was previously used for livestock walking. This is indicated by the old name of the mountain formation - The Venerable Pike. The word “snout”, translated from the ancient Iranian language, means pasture. And also the array was called Biyuk-Kaya.
The archaeologist O. I. Dombrovsky established that in the period from the 9th to the 15th centuries there were approximately 6 settlements on the territory of the rocky plateau. Evidence of such a statement was discovered during a thorough study of the area. Due to the unique structure created by nature itself and its special geographical location, the lot is reliably protected from enemy attacks.
Some historians believe that local residents began to build strong defensive walls after the peoples of the Khazar Khaganate attacked the land. And also Crimeans tried to protect themselves from nomads and Tatars. Despite all efforts, the ancient settlements were destroyed by the Turks about 2.5 centuries ago.

Studying the location, experts found that the area of the building was 486 m². And it was also found that a red stone called the Boykin conglomerate was used to lay the structure. The ancient building of the basal type stores many burials. According to historians, these are the tombs of the clergy.

How to get there
In order to appreciate the beauty of the mystical mountain with your own eyes, you will have to go a long way from Yalta along the Taraktash trail. The road leads up the canyon. And you can also start from the village of Sokolinoye, then you will need to go through the village of Aromat and turn left to Platinum. An alternative is to start your journey from the villages of Bogatyr and Schastlivoe. Then move on the navigator or map.
If you do not want to look for a path in the mountain on your own, the best solution for you would be a tourist route passing through this attraction. The tours through the “Leaky Couloir” are very popular. This is a passage in the rock through which you can reach Mount Boyka.
But you can also use public transport to get to the cliff from Yalta, but you will have to make a transfer in Simferopol. You can get to the village of Sokolinoe from Sevastopol by bus.
