Between the town of Zaozernoye and Yevpatoria there is a place where you can often see the following picture: people, smeared with mud, briskly run into the sea to wash off the healing mud rapidly drying in the Crimean sun.
However, a person who is responsible for his health should remember that the use of mud therapy should be carried out exclusively under the supervision of a physician and preferably in medical institutions. After all, like any highly active biological substance, Moinak mud has its contraindications for use.
One of the oldest sights of the village is considered the settlement "Seagull", which was built by the Scythians in the 4th century BC. A little later, the Greeks captured him and built a rectangular fortification, on each corner of which there was a defensive tower. In the III century BC, the castle was destroyed and subsequently was no longer used as a fortification. In its place, settlements periodically arose, but for a long period they did not linger. The discovery of this historic site took place in 1959, during geological excavations. The hillfort is located near the sanatorium "Radiant".
The famous landmark of the village is the lighthouse, built in 1861. Until now, it has been preserved in working condition and continues to maintain its marine watch year-round in any weather.
