The southern coast of Crimea is notable for the fact that here a zone suitable for a wonderful summer vacation stretched for tens of kilometers almost continuously. Over the decades of the development of the resort area, minimal infrastructure has been created that allows you to spend a vacation not only in rather noisy cities with a lively nightlife, but also in small quiet villages. An exception is not the village of Rybachye, located near Alushta.

Description and History

Modern Fishing is not so easy to find on the map - the population of the village is less than one and a half thousand peopletherefore, we need a rather detailed plan of Crimea so that it is depicted there. If the map is really detailed, then another problem may arise - the desired object is simply lost among dozens of others of the same kind. To find Rybachye, find on the southern coast of the Crimean peninsula Alushta - It, as a fairly large tourist center, is indicated on any maps of the Crimea.

To the north-east of it along the coast should be Zander - Another center of tourism, but a little smaller, between them runs a direct road. It is on this road that our final point is located.

If settlements less than Alushta and Sudak are not marked on your map, you should know that before the first distance along the mentioned highway is about 30 km, and to Sudak - almost twice as far.

Curious that even such a small village has a rather ancient history. Some scholars believe that Tuak (as Rybache was called until 1945) arose two thousand years ago, and in the VIII century the Greeks from Byzantium began to arrive in large numbers here. However, no one will tell in detail about those times, and scanty information is taken from sources that do not cause great trust. In 1365, this coast passed under the control of the Genoese.

Although the document signed at that time did not contain a list of settlements, further, starting from 1385, a settlement called Genoese de Buzult is mentioned at the same place. In 1475, the reign of the Genoese was discontinued as the territory passed under the control of the Ottomans, but about two hundred years after that, Tuak was still a predominantly Christian village. After that, the population structure began to change rapidly, in 1805 (after joining Russia) 203 residents lived in the village, among whom there were no representatives of any other nationality except the Crimean Tatars.

In the next century and a half, nothing particularly interesting happened here - the village grew 6-7 times, periodically became subordinate from Yalta to Alushta and vice versa, but still it remained mostly Muslim.

After the deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1944, the village was depopulated for a while, but in the following decades its current national composition was formed, consisting mainly of Slavs. Today it is an ordinary one and a half thousand village with two dozen streets and lanes. Apart from the sea and some tourist infrastructure, the same village can be found in any region of the country.

Weather

The weather in Rybachy almost exactly corresponds to the weather conditions in Yalta and any other point of the Southern coast of Crimea, with the only difference being that the winters are a little colder - literally 1 degree. The territory of Big Alushta, which includes this village, is protected from the north by the Crimean mountains, which determines the territory subtropical climate. However, there are two passes nearby, through which an intensive exchange of air masses with the Crimean steppe zone, where a moderate climate already prevails, is nevertheless carried out.

The humidity here is consistently high, it usually exceeds 70%, precipitation falls mainly in the winter - out of the average annual 427 mm for three summer months, a total of only 80. The summer is traditionally hot.

Fishing boasts a huge number of sunny days. For him, even 2,300 hours a year is by no means the limit. This resort can be interesting to “Walruses” at any time of the year, because the water here rarely even cools down to temperatures below +8 degrees in winter, but the main bathing season occurs only when the water temperature reaches at least +17 degrees - such indicators are real from May to October.

If we talk about the peak of the tourist season, then it falls on the period July to Septemberwhen the water even at night does not have time to cool to values below +22 degrees. Due to the presence of the passes mentioned above, it is relatively windy in Rybachy - in the summer heat this is unlikely to be a drawback, but due to a harsher winter, the species diversity of the same palm trees is slightly less than in neighboring Yalta.

However, such winds are not only not harmful, but also good for health, even Botkin wrote that in Big Alushta the climate is healthier precisely due to regular air exchange.

How to get to the village?

Today, most tourists coming to Crimea fall on the peninsula either through the Crimean bridge, or through the airport of Simferopol. These options need to be considered independently of each other.

The Crimean bridge, opened not so long ago, made it possible to simplify automobile communication with the Krasnodar Territory, so the Kubans can come to Rybachye with their own cars. Once in Kerch, you need to choose direction to Feodosiaand then move along the highway along the Black Sea through Koktebel and Sudak towards Alushta and Yalta. The length of the route along the territory of the Crimean peninsula will be a little more than 200 kilometers, but because of the winding mountain sections of the road, you should not count on too high a driving speed - overcoming the section can drag on for four hours.

Crimea also has a bus connection with various European regions of Russia, organized through a bridge, but finding a bus that goes through Rybachye will be quite difficult. You can try to get with transfers, but if you didn’t get in Simferopol, the traffic may not be so busy.

Simferopol is the final destination for many buses from the "mainland", as well as the main (practically the only) air gates of CrimeaTherefore, a huge part of tourists first inevitably gets here. Despite the good bus connection between the airport and different regions of the peninsula, it’s difficult to get directly from Rybachye - the transport goes either to Alushta or Sudak without traveling along the highway between them.

It is most convenient to get from Simferopol airport with a transfer in Alushta - there are direct flights from the airport terminal. Alternatively, you can first get from the airport to Simferopol bus station-2 "Resort" - from here, several times a day direct buses leave for Rybachye, which will take you directly to the place in 2 hours and 283 rubles.

As an additional tourist attraction, you can come to Alushta and trolleybus - not every person can boast that at least once in his life he rode a "horned" through a mountain forest.

If you still decide to make a transfer in Alushta, you can get to Rybachye, for example, using the same buses from Simferopol, which have an intermediate station here.

In this section, the message is a little more lively, but due to the fact that it is here that the most difficult section of the road lies, the last 30 kilometers of the route will stretch for a good hour.

Housing

Given the tourist orientation of the local economy, you can settle in Rybachy in completely different rooms, representing fundamentally different conditions. Due to the modest size of the village itself and fierce competition from the same Alushta and Sudak, Rybachye cannot boast of the presence of first-class hotels. If you want to relax on a grand scale and a certain taste (by local standards), you will most likely be advised Hotel "Frigate Santa Maria".

It has only 2 stars, there is no pool here, but the concept itself is interesting, according to which the hotel - this is a ship, cabins are surrendered in it. Of the amenities, one can highlight only the location on the first line, right on the seashore, as well as the organization of transfers from Simferopol, excursions to neighboring cities and boat trips.

Unusual services provides boarding house "Favor" - This is a good destination for Orthodox believers. In addition to the typical services provided by most of the similar resorts of the Crimean peninsula, there are such advantages as meals organized with an eye on fasting, watching Orthodox films and organizing all religious rituals by staff, which is highly appreciated by a certain category of vacationers.

In general, Rybachye does not have a large variety of real hotels: in fact, most of the housing here is presented in the private sector, where local residents have done everything to get the most out of their land. Full-fledged cottage villages, united in a single hotel, are not observed here, but individual owners rent their cottages, while they themselves live in another place.

If the constant presence of the owners in the yard does not bother you, you can rent a guest house. A comparison of prices shows that, ceteris paribus in terms of comfort, the private sector can offer prices almost half that of local hotels.

Another thing is that you need to choose carefully - some of the "business initiatives" of the local cause concern regarding compliance with safety regulations.

A very special type of housing for tourists in Rybachy, as in some other villages of the southern coast of Crimea, are boathouses. In fact, this is a former boat garage, converted into a living room. The great advantage of such a residence is the extreme proximity of the sea and relatively low prices, but the big question is how far the owners managed to provide comfort in such a place.

Fans of wild and half-wild relaxation may be interested. camping - there is similar infrastructure in the vicinity of the village. There is even a car camping here, where you can come by your own car and live on the basis of your car and tent, relying on security for the employees.

sights

A relatively small village, of which the former Tuak is, is predictably unable to boast an abundance of its own attractions. Most people here who want to diversify their vacation with a minimum excursion program, sent to trips to Yalta, Alushta and Sudak. Fortunately, you can get there by public transport, and with a tour organized by local businessmen.

However, if you are in Crimea, even the picturesque surroundings may be curious.

Local residents and avid visitors to the village would probably advise taking a walk to the side bays of love. It is not far from the village, and the path to the destination leads along the edge of a steep cliff, from where a beautiful view of the sea distances opens. The harbor is very quiet and is not a port, and the water here is surprisingly clean - in calm weather, the bottom is clearly visible to a depth of more human growth. It organizes not only trips, but also romantic rafting on boats.

Of the architectural delights located in the immediate vicinity, it is worth paying special attention to Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, located near the village of Malorechenskoye. Fans of ancient architecture will be disappointed, because the temple was built only in 2007, but it is extremely unusual in appearance, since at the same time it is also a lighthouse.

Unlike the vast majority of other Orthodox churches, this one is completely devoid of a traditional dome - it is crowned only by a cross raised high above the roof. Under it, which is interesting, there is a illuminated ball, symbolizing our planet, and at the same time signaling to sailors about the proximity of land.

The creators conceived this temple as a monument to everyone who did not survive in shipwrecks.

Jur-Jur Waterfall It is located as much as 15 kilometers from Rybachy, but those who are not afraid of hiking and just long walks are simply obliged to go to it. This is the most impressive waterfall in Crimea - the fall height is 15 meters, and although there are waterfalls on the peninsula and higher, they are scarce, while this one is powerful.

A reserve has been organized around the waterfall - you will have to pay a symbolic amount for a visit, but in return you will get access to equipped paths and breathtaking observation decks. You can drive closer to the waterfall from Rybachy and by car, if you agree with someone from the local, but in general, even a walk will bring real pleasure to all mountain lovers.

Recreation and entertainment

Even if you are quite positive about Rybachy, it’s hard not to admit that this village does not attract the title of a full-fledged beach resort. This is just a seaside village, the locals of which are doing everything possible to attract guests. For this reason, the main local object around which all life revolves is the local beach. There are entertainments here, but they are quite traditional - you can ride the same child on a banana or a catamaran, but nothing more.

The local promenade may disappoint an unprepared holidaymaker - in many ways this is just a stretch of the route connecting Alushta with Feodosia.

If you expect that it offers a beautiful view of the sea, then you should not rely too much on it - it is decently built up on both sides, and some outstanding architecture along it is also not observed.

If you need to entertain children with something unusual, it's worth a look at Museum of Maritime Disasters, located in neighboring Malorechenskoye - his visit can be combined with a walk to the temple mentioned above.

The building itself already looks very picturesque, because it is decorated in the form of a broken ship, and inside you can see a rich collection of things thrown ashore by the sea. Here you can watch movies about shipwrecks that tell the story of famous maritime accidents. There is no more serious infrastructure that allows children to relax in accordance with their best ideas, in Rybachy. As a bonus for kids, you can arrange a day trip to the water park in Alushta or even to the dolphinarium located in Sudak.

According to the same logic, little Rybachy has no outstanding restaurants - the majority of tourists cater for themselves either by the bases where they stayed, or independently if a private sector is chosen, or through numerous outlets, among which it is difficult to choose one as the best . In fact, all such establishments resemble ordinary fast food, but if you still want something more, you should visit one of the following establishments.

  • Cafe "Aladdin". Despite its eastern name, the cuisine here is mainly European, although the kebab, beloved by all beach people, is of course also on the menu. Visitors praise this place for the warm welcome and high speed of service.
  • Cafe "Grow belly". As the name implies, the creators of this institution consider their main goal to feed visitors to the dump. There may not be gourmet dishes here, but a good selection of meat and fish dishes are offered. Prices are unexpectedly democratic, so this place is in demand.
  • Restaurant "Provence". For such a small resort village, this institution can be considered elitist. The founders decided to develop the French theme, so southern France is present not only in the title, but also in the interior, and even in the music playing in the hall. The menu is not exactly French, but certain positions remind you of this amazing country. This, so to speak, is a cultural institution, so if you are categorically against fast food, you should contact here.

Reviews

On the Internet you can find vacationers' comments about Rybachy, designed in completely opposite colors. We dare to assume that it all depends on how demanding you are to the conditions and how much you have to compare with this small Crimean resort.

Positive comments about Rybachy are usually based on the opinion that this resort is quite calm, there is no vibrant nightlife. This is true, because here really no clubs and discos, but loud music can sound from any fast food establishment and any car. Since there are really no other entertainments here, such a development of the situation is very likely.

If you are ready to easily abandon water parks, dolphinariums, clubs and attractions for the sake of the sea as such, you might like it here.

The sweeping criticism of this village is based on the fact that there is absolutely nothing to do here, and even the infrastructure that is present is not maintained in decent condition or even built in violation of all architectural standards. You can also meet complaints about the contingent - here those who primarily seeks to save money and often enjoys drinking are often resting here. At the same time, prices for accommodation here are comparable to Egyptian in the best hotels.
