On the Black Sea coast is a small resort village called Utes. This is a real fairy tale for those who want to spend time in an atmosphere of harmony and peace, enjoying the sea air and the grandeur of nature. The atmosphere of this place is different from most Crimean resorts. A cozy city without noise and fuss is more like the Mediterranean of Italy or France. An article will tell about the features of relaxation in this unique village.

Description and History

The cliff is an unusual resort. On the map it can be found between Alushta and Partenit. Nevertheless, it is very different from these places. A number of multi-colored multi-storey buildings with a beach strip seem to be isolated from other settlements. The village is considered small even by the standards of the Crimea. The population is about 300 people.

Residential buildings are located on a hill, next to the mountains. The rest of the territory is occupied by original structures intended for tourists. The location of hotels and resorts on the coastline is an extremely good idea. Beach holidays here are the main entertainment.

According to ancient documents, the site of the modern village was once the settlement of Lambat.

In those days, it was a large and fairly developed city. The owner of these places was the Austrian prince De Lin. Under Catherine the Great, he wanted to create slave plantations on his territory. However, thanks to Count Vorontsov, the land passed into the possession of the Russian Empire.

After that, Utes became a holiday village. Manor houses and luxurious residences were built here, parks were set up. The most famous is the palace of Princess Gagarina.Modern boathouses and hotels began to appear after 2000. So the village became a summer vacation destination for everyone.

Today it is a compact, but colorful and comfortable town. There are no discos and noisy companies. This is a place for people who prefer silence. Cozy small cafes and restaurants with live music, a clean sea, the scent of pine needles, comfortable beaches without crowds of people - all this creates the impression of an intelligent “European” holiday.

How to get there

The village is located 10 kilometers from Alushta and 20 kilometers from Yalta. The best way to get to it is through Alushta. If you are in Simferopol or another city of Crimea, you should first get here. In Alushta you should catch a regular bus. He will take you to your destination. There is another option. You can take a bus or trolley going to Yalta. At the stop "village Kiparisnoe" should get off.

Here you need to tune in on a long journey on foot (about 40 minutes). You can also stop a passing car or minibus if you are lucky.

Buses run on a schedule several times a day. It is better to buy a ticket in advance, as there may not be enough space. Even if you reach the Cliff itself, you will have to follow winding paths from the stop.

Then there is a descent along a very steep staircase. Be prepared for this.

By car, you can reach a place from any city. For example, if you go from Simferopol, you need to adhere to the highway "E 105". You will spend about an hour on the road. If you are in Yalta, you will go by car for 30 minutes.

If you want to get to the Utes health resort, you need to go to the end. If you need a tourist area, you need to turn left for a kilometer to the sanatorium. The Santa Barbara sign will help you. Do not be surprised if you cannot park at the hotel itself. The streets of the city are too narrow, which makes it difficult to place transport. However, at the entrance there is a paid parking, which you can return to by unloading things from the car.

Weather

The climate here is mild and pleasant. The weather is usually sunny. The mountain slopes and forest thickets surrounding the village block the way to cold winds. At the same time, the proximity of the sea makes it easy to bear the summer heat. The average summer temperature is + 23 +25 degrees. The sea warms up to +20 +23 degrees. The swimming season begins in late May and ends in September.

Where to stay?

The usual private sector in the form of houses with gardens and kitchen gardens is absent here. There are few places in the village, so the buildings are located, trying to maximize the use of each meter. A convenient accommodation option is boathouses. Here you can find housing for a family of 4 people at a price of 1,500 rubles per day. The kitchen is usually shared. Book rooms better in advance. There are special sites on the network for this.

Since the buildings are being built in all directions, the windows of some rooms may not go to the sea, but to the wall of a neighboring house. There are also false windows. Take this into account when choosing a home and specify this point in advance, especially if the price of a room is suspiciously low. There are also many hotels and guest houses in Utes. Also, a beautiful view of the mountains opens from the promenade. Below are several short beach areas with sun loungers and umbrellas. All of them are free, united under the general name "Cooperative".

Also in the village there are beaches belonging to sanatoriums and hotels. Sorry, you will not see the picturesque nature here. Some beaches are pebble. Some of them are concrete platforms with sun loungers.

The entrance to the water is not too comfortable, rocky. Nevertheless, it is worth noting thatThe beach areas, like the promenade itself, are well-groomed, and the water here is clear. Many are happy that it is calm, there is not a large crowd of people and an abundance of noisy attractions. Others, on the contrary, are upset by the lack of entertainment. All that the Cliff has to offer is catamaran riding and banana rental. There are also wild beach areas. These include the coast beyond Cape Plaka towards Partenit.

These are pebble beaches with a small amount of greenery. They are less well-groomed, but here there is clear water and beautiful landscapes. It is not easy to get here, so usually these places are deserted.

Recreation and entertainment

Cliff infrastructure is not too developed. There are few shops here. In the center there is a market with vegetables and fruits. Due to the rather high prices, fruits are often taken not by kilograms, but by the piece. In small shops you can buy souvenirs and beach paraphernalia. There are a couple of pharmacies. As for food, a vacationer can cook on his own if he rents a house with a kitchen. In this case, experienced tourists are advised to buy products in shopping centers of Alushta.
