Crimea is associated with beach vacation, but Sevastopol is often considered the usual naval city. But there are also suitable beaches - the main thing is to know their features.

If we talk about the city of Sevastopol, it is an indisputable fact that almost 40 beaches are allocated in it. Some of them are covered with sand, others are strewn with pebbles. There are those places that are prepared for marine leisure artificially, and not created by nature itself.

An overview of such sites is advisable to begin from the beach "Victory Park"that in the Gagarinsky district. Thousands of tourists and locals flock here. In addition to the beach strip, there is a small Student Park. Through it, you will certainly have to go along the road to the shore. Families with children often walk in the park; its territory is very well equipped. The attractiveness of the park area is enhanced by the fact that it is divided into medium-sized alleys made in the style of various parts of the world.

Victory Park beach is the property of the city and has a rescue station, shower cabins, left-luggage offices. There is a bus stop nearby.

Moving 300 m to the side, tourists find themselves on the beach "Omega". This is a fairly long shallow bay. Swimming here is justified only in June. Due to the rapid heating in the water, algae and other dangerous microorganisms spread. But in the first part of the summer "Omega" is great for vacationers with children.The beach will also please those who decide to combine leisure activities at sea with a visit to discos, restaurants and cafes.

Tourists can take advantage of many other sites. Among them stands out Sunny Beachlocated near the ancient Chersonesos. To get there, you need to go near the park named after Akhmatova. A fence, set on the border of the beach, separates vacationers from places of historical excavations.

Finding the “Crystal” stretch of shore is easy - near it is a monument dedicated to the ships sunk in the Crimean War. It attracts mainly elderly people and tourists staying in the city center. The beach is made in the form of a concrete pier. Descent into the water and rise from it occur on the stairs. In the water near the shore it immediately becomes deep, the depth is at least 1.5 m. The beach was equipped with dressing cabins, awnings, rescue posts.

The area remote from Sevastopol, called Balaklava, is actually also part of this city. The main beach of Balaclava is located in its center. There are many cafes and restaurants with fish cuisine nearby. The disadvantage of this part of the coast is a rather significant amount of mud.

To relax in Balaclava, you can also choose “Silver” and “Golden” beaches. You can get there by shuttle sea taxi. In these places, the water is much better, but it is quite cold. There are always few vacationers on the “Golden” beach and this is due to the fact that the coast comes close to the mountains.

You need to look for sandy beaches in the northern part of Sevastopol. For example, the famous Uchkuevka is located there. This strip is very long, and reaches almost the Saki region. Small ferries leave for the beach from the city center, while the flight also combines with a guided tour. People aboard the ferry can enjoy the look of the city and bays.

The beach is covered throughout with soft sand of a small fraction. Lying on it is convenient and comfortable even without bedspreads or deck chairs. Entering water should be as careful as possible. Speaking about the beaches of Sevastopol, it is worth mentioning the beach "Fiolent". This name he received in honor of the cape on which it is located. A remarkable feature of the "Fiolent" is that it serves as the end of the western branch of the Crimean mountains. Arriving at the cape is not easy - the distance to the city is 5 km.

The descent down to the "Fiolent" takes place along trails and through makeshift stairs. The water in the area of ​​this cape is very clean. Its cooling due to underwater currents is almost impossible. Since there are no apartment buildings nearby, and there are few visitors, the sea is not clogged, the heat of the water is maintained by the Yalta Current.

In the Balaklava district there is a "Jasper" beach. The width of such a section of the coast does not exceed 450 m. However, this does not prevent it from having high popularity. "Jasper" beach is strewn with pebbles. About 100 years ago, a staircase was built here, allowing access to the St. George Monastery. Landscapes in this part of the coast are very picturesque.

The northern border of Sevastopol boasts no less popular beach "Fat Man". He received his name in honor of Cape Tolstoy. The size of the coast at this place is 200 m, and at the same time it is divided by a number of breakwaters. A little further is the "wild" section of the coast. At night, a disco is held on the "Fat Man" beach, and stalls and small shops work in the daytime.

You can get to the "Fat Man" by taxi or by your own car, in addition, there are regular bus services. It is impossible to make a mistake - the stop is exactly called "Fat Man Beach".

As for the Blue Cove beach, it appeared as a result of an ancient volcanic eruption. Near the beach are Cape Hersonissos and the village "Cossack Bay." The nature in these places is pristine wild and original. So far, business has not had time to master this place, but part of the townspeople has already launched brisk trade in the Blue Bay. A strip of coast covered with pebbles stretches for 300 m - it is framed by amazingly beautiful rocks. Although the beach is very spacious, it will not be possible to pitch a tent and put a barbecue here.

The local population rents rooms there for daily rent and a good hotel is located nearby.

Those who liked the “Uchkuevsky” beach should also try its continuation - the beach of the village of Lyubimovka. The total length of this stretch of coast reaches 3 km. Gradually equipped beach is replaced by wild space. Most likely, this place will appeal to lovers of all non-standard in the Crimea. The main part of the beach strip is well equipped in terms of infrastructure. It is recommended to go here for families with children. Little vacationers can swim in the lagoon of St. Valentine. Orlovka beach is very large, it extends up to several kilometers in length. The bottom in this part of the coast is quite nice, and the water is clean. No wonder these places were called the "Golden Coast". A lot of housing is rented nearby - not only apartments and private houses, but also hotel rooms.

It is customary to divide Orlovka into 6 dissimilar sites. There are no physical barriers between them and this will please fans of walking long distances. The coast there is covered with sand, but in some places there is fine pebble. In some places the flat steppe is replaced by slopes, on which red clay is clearly visible. Because of it, during storms, the water becomes dirtier.

Orlovka Beach is divided by the Kacha River into approximately equal sections. The depth of the sea in different places can vary greatly.

Very attractive for locals and for travelers is the "Soldier" beach. More recently, he belonged to the "wild" category. It was all a matter of poor infrastructure development and arrival difficulties. Since 2017, the situation has changed. "Soldier" beach from a geographical point of view acts as one segment of the coast of the Admiral's Bay.

The widest and later all tidied platform, adjacent to the river port. The name of the beach strip is due to the fact that there used to be one of the air defense units here. When the military left their facility, it became very quiet here, but the name at the beach does not change. Now on the "Soldier" beach appeared rescue posts, equipped toilets and cafes.

The territory is constantly maintained order, many people rushed here, and the former atmosphere of romantic savagery disappeared completely. Inactive in this part of Sevastopol, the water warms up very well.

Seasonal leisure is modest, and so far it is limited to several water slides, catamarans and game towns. It will turn out to come to the “Soldiersky” beach on the bus of the 81st route, which leaves from Nakhimov Square. You need to go to the final destination "Omega City" - then tourists need to go along Chesnokova Street and turn right at the first opportunity, and then head to the northeast.

Continuing the review of Sevastopol beaches is at such an object as Aquamarine. Formally, it is open to any tourist, but in practice, priority is given to the guests of the hotel of the same name. You need to look for a beach on the map of Sevastopol in the pilot district. Nearby are Victory Park and the cadet school - these landmarks are worth starting from.

Those who have not stayed at the hotel can only sit on a towel and swim in the waves. To take advantage of the beach infrastructure, you will have to pay extra money. At the peak of the season, even for an additional fee, a comfortable vacation cannot be provided, because many people come and come here. The length of the beach strip is 150 m, and the width is no more than 30 m. The coast is covered with even, not too large sand. Entrance to the Black Sea waves is gradual, and even where sand at the bottom is replaced by pebbles, discomfort is minimal.

The area is cleaned several times a day, so the water becomes cloudy not because of the dirt, but because of the weighted sand.

The next item in our review is Bounty Beach. This is another part of the popular Cape Fiolent. Contrary to its name, it does not create the same impression as the distant Pacific atoll. In the north, the Bounty goes to Turtle Beach, and in the south it borders on a part of the coast called the Crocodile Edge. Orientation problems for tourists here arise regularly. Sometimes only local residents can determine exactly where one part of the coastline ends and another begins. As a guide, you can choose the Grape cape and a complex of lighthouses. The Bounty is further away from these lighthouses than from the cape. Near the lighthouse, you can also relax on the shore, but in both places the descent is unthinkable without special rubber shoes.

The bottom of the sea at the Bounty is covered with stones. The coastline itself is not too wide. The only thing that unites the beach with the famous tropical island is the crescent shape. The slopes of the coast a little far away are very steep and there are not just palm trees, but even just flowers.

The “marble” beach in Balaclava cannot boast an abundance of entertainment and additional services. But this does not prevent him from maintaining high popularity. The reason for the poor arrangement is that until recently it was a military facility. On the beach there are toilets, awnings and lifeguard posts. But the flaws are fully justified by the incredible view of Cape Ayia, located in the distance.

Kachinsky beach has other advantages - it has a clean sea, which is convenient to enter, but the coast itself is pebbled and not too wide. Finding a place for sunbathing in summer is difficult. The nearby promenade is well-maintained and decorated, there are many cafes and shops.

Near the grotto of Diana is another beach site. It is suitable for recreation only conditionally, since it is covered with large pebbles. Entering the water is extremely inconvenient, the descent into the sea is covered with large stones. In this case, the sea is quite clean, and it is not difficult to inspect the bottom. Since 2018, a solid ladder has been mounted for descent to the beach, and observation platforms are very convenient for observing sunrises and sunsets.

In Balaclava there is another excellent beach, called "Vasili". Crimeans and people who come from far away appreciate him. The space of the beach is small, but they worked on the arrangement of the coast very thoroughly. A store is operating, rental of sun loungers and umbrellas is available, cabins for changing clothes are prepared.

It is advisable to complete the overview of the main places with the “Royal” beach, located in the vicinity of the elegant Cape Fiolent. Passing along the shore is often impossible without presenting a pass. The sea is practically absent there. This part of the Sevastopol coast is beautiful not only on the surface, but also under water. Amateur scuba divers willingly come here even from other regions.

Since Sevastopol is very well developed, there are few truly wild sites left. Most of them only adjoin the space equipped with this or that infrastructure.

The most attractive wild places:

• Sandy beach, separating the bay of the same name and Omega Bay;

• Wild Omega, located next to Cape Sandy;

• “Cossack Bay”, which is the least equipped and has the most inaccessible beach space in the hero city.

Wild and nudist beaches occupy mainly the northern part of Sevastopol.

The entire coast on this side is characterized by smooth water entrances. There are no stones, let alone boulders. It is necessary to look for really wild zones right after Lyubimovka.

Another example of such a site is the German Beam. There, the coastal strip is rather narrow and abuts against cliffs composed of red sand. Local landscapes create a sense of Martian surface. Despite the mass of sand, the sea here is clean. The only infrastructure there is a store with a meager assortment.
