Kinds

Alushta is located in the southern part of Crimea, and the swimming season here begins in May. On the coastline of more than 8 kilometers, everyone can find a beach for themselves. The choice is wide:

  • Free
  • paid;
  • sanatorium;
  • at hotels;
  • children’s;
  • for people with disabilities;
  • wild
  • nudist.

In total, the city of Alushta has more than 35 different beaches. The infrastructure is well developed here. There are cinemas, children's play centers, a water park, a dolphinarium, numerous cafes and restaurants.

Passenger traffic has been developed both within the city and between cities and towns. The coastal cover is mostly pebble, but stony and sandy-pebble. Sand is delivered to many private beaches.

If you look at the map of Alushta, the coastline is conditionally divided into 3 parts.

  • Central embankment. Located in the middle of the coastline of Alushta, very busy. It has good transport accessibility and developed infrastructure.
  • Professor's (working) corner located on the right side of the central beach, towards Mount Kastel - this is the western promenade. Here is the territory of private beaches rented.Entrance here is paid, but this makes it possible to use sun loungers and umbrellas. Almost everywhere there are canopies and good flooring for entry-exit into the water. At the end of the Professor’s corner is a pier. There you can find a boat for boat trips for little money.
  • East embankment. You can get here from the center through Seaside Park or get around on the right through the Demerdzhi Park Hotel. There is also a road past the Porto Mare through the tunnel. You can also get here by minibus 8-D, which goes to the boathouses. This is the territory of sanatorium beaches. Entrance to almost all beaches is free. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available. On children's beaches and some sanatoriums are prohibited. Here the sea is clean and calm. In the afternoon, mud can bring here.

Rating of the best

We made an overview of the most popular beaches of Alushta and gave a brief description and description of each beach.

Central (city) beach near the Rotunda

It is located to the left of the Rotunda - the main attraction of Alushta. This beach is also called "Affectionate coast." You can come here from anywhere in the city. There is a trolley bus, a bus and a large number of different fixed-route taxis. Life here is in full swing day and night. There is a lot of entertainment for children and adults, and not only at sea.

Pebble beach with large stonesTherefore, it is best to come here in shoes so that entering and leaving the sea does not become a test for you. Who came early - that and a sunbed. And not everyone wants to lie on a towel, because the stones are quite large and uncomfortable, and there is practically no free space by 10 o’clock.

There are a lot of cafes and restaurants around. There are street vendors. Many rental points of water and beach equipment.

Here are the obvious advantages of this beach:

  • free;
  • good transport accessibility;
  • a lot of entertainment and attractions;
  • developed infrastructure;
  • nearby is a park area;
  • there are rescue points.

Without cons, too, could not do:

  • a lot of people;
  • expensive products;
  • the cost of renting a sunbed in the high season is about 300 rubles, and an umbrella is 100 rubles;
  • There is no wooden flooring for entry into the sea.

Alushta Embankment Beach

This is a continuation of the central beach along the promenade. This beach is rather narrow and small, divided by breakwaters. There is not as much entertainment here as on Central Beach. The territory is equipped with changing rooms, a shower, ballot boxes. There are few cafes around, but street vendors also come here. The coastal cover is medium sized pebbles.

Pros:

  • fewer tourists;
  • the sea is cleaner;
  • good transport accessibility;
  • developed infrastructure.

Minuses:

  • very narrow coastline;
  • steep entrance to the sea;
  • little entertainment.

Grace or beach for people with disabilities

On this beach it is convenient to relax not only for ordinary tourists, but also for people with disabilities. It is convenient to enter, there are awnings. It is easy to rent water and beach equipment. Almost the entire coast is covered with dense green artificial material. Near the sea there is a bottleneck of pebbles.

Benefits:

  • coated ramp for comfortable wheelchair access;
  • special handrails for launching into the water;
  • free, free admission for everyone;
  • awnings and sunbeds;

  • good entry into the sea.

Of the minuses, we note:

  • small area;
  • not many handicap facilities.

Alushta children's beach

Created and owned by the Center for Children and Youth Creativity. The sandy and pebble shore. Due to its remoteness (20-30 minutes by transport), there are few vacationers there. It will be comfortable for children to go into the water, build sand castles. Nearby is the dolphinarium. There are locker rooms, a shower, a toilet.

Pros:

  • free;
  • pretty shallow sea and good entry-exit.

Minuses:

  • there are no children's attractions and entertainments;
  • poorly developed infrastructure;
  • no canopies;
  • poor transport accessibility.

Royal beach

Such a big name and such a weak impression leaves this beach due to poor landscaping. But the coast is gentle, the water is clear, and the air is coniferous and fresh. This place is loved by vacationers and locals. Located at the foot of Mount Demerdzhi. Shore coverage - large pebbles. Without slippers and a mattress, it will be hard to relax here. It is equipped minimally: locker rooms, toilets, ballot boxes. Sun rental is available during the season. Located near the children's beach and is the last on the Central Embankment.

Due to the remoteness it is very clean and free.

Positive points:

  • a few people;
  • water in the sea is cleaner and calmer;
  • nearby is a botanical garden with a park area;
  • good gentle entry into the sea.

Negative points:

  • undeveloped infrastructure;
  • far from transport.

Beach Hotel Porto Mare

Located at the beginning of the Eastern Embankment. A shuttle bus runs from the center. If you walk from the center, then the journey will take about an hour. It is considered the largest and most comfortable paid beach in Alushta. The beach is finely pebble, the territory is perfectly landscaped. Sun loungers with a mattress, umbrellas, showers and awnings are provided.

There is a zone specifically for children. And for kids, an area of 180 square meters is intended. m with imported sand. Music plays here, animators work. There are slides and labyrinths. There is a rental point for water equipment.

There is a bar where you can always refresh yourself, and for lunch or dinner on the second floor in the fish restaurant.

  • You can spend the whole day on this beach;
  • developed infrastructure;
  • free inventory;
  • free wifi
  • have a good rest with children;
  • year-round;
  • rescue and medical points;
  • paths for entry and exit from the sea.

Minuses:

  • paid entrance;
  • poor transport accessibility.

Nudist beach

I would like to tell you separately where the nudist beach of Alushta is located. You might want to visit them. The city has 2 such beaches. Both have sand and pebble bottom. One is located on the east side of Seaside Park. The second (wild) at the Chernov stones. This is the most extreme beach of the Professor's Corner.

How to choose?

When choosing a beach, the following factors should be considered.

  1. The depth of the beach. It can be shallow, deep, break off abruptly, it can be immediately deep. When choosing, you should take into account the depth of the beach, especially if you are with children.
  2. Type of coastline and bottom. Very diverse options for the structure of the coastal strip. It will not be very nice if you planned to dig in the sand, and on the spot found large pebbles.
  3. Accomplishment. According to the recommendations of the Rospotrebnadzor, it should be equipped with shade canopies, changing cabins, waste bins, rescue and medical posts, public toilets, and have a cleaning schedule.
  4. Infrastructure development. What do you prefer to see around you: a deserted beach for meditation or all the benefits of modern life for a good holiday?
  5. Transport availability.
  6. Liveliness the beach.
  7. What kind services are provided.
  8. Paid or free entrance.

Guided by such simple recommendations, you can choose a beach to your liking and have a good rest.

In July 2018, we rested in the city of Alushta. Stayed in the private sector. They rented an apartment. The cost of the studio cost 1800 rubles per day. There were 4 of us. I find it inexpensive. Tender Beach is a 5-minute walk away. The beach population is very high. Hard to find a place. The beach itself and the beach really liked. A lot of entertainment for children is not only paid, but also free. A lot of good impressions of the water park. We want to visit Crimea this year too.

My boyfriend and I have been resting for the second year in Alushta. We stayed at the Neva boarding house. To the sea, walk past the Porto Mare Hotel through a tunnel for 8-10 minutes. Beautiful quiet, comfortable beach. If you needed entertainment, then went to the city center. If you want to save on accommodation, it is best to book six months in advance.I really liked the excursion "Jeep tour to Mount Demerdzhi." This year we want to travel by car along the Crimean coast.

We rested in 2017 with children. We didn’t book advance accommodation. Upon arrival at the bus station, a crowd surrounded us with various offers of accommodation options. The cost of housing was from 300 rubles. per day per person. We chose a two-room apartment near the beach, about 20 minutes walk.

The cost at that time was 1200 rubles per day. The first day we went to the central beach - a lot of people. We mainly walked through the tunnel near the Porto Mare Hotel to the eastern embankment. It is very quiet and calm, almost all the beaches are free. Alushta is associated with beautiful views, the smell of pine needles and the sea.

We rested in Alushta in August 2018. Stayed in the private sector. There was a feeling as if we had plunged into the Soviet past. Old Soviet buildings, trolleybuses. We went to the beach on the eastern promenade. Very well maintained and clean. All beaches are separated by breakwaters and belong to a sanatorium. We mainly went to the beach of the Horizon sanatorium. It is free and there are quite few people. We went to the center for entertainment, and there we found an inexpensive supermarket. We got a very budget vacation.

The whole family went by car to Alushta. Stayed in a private guest house. What I liked: unique nature, clean air, aura of tranquility and comfort, clean clear and very warm water, clean beaches, nice, responsive people. What I didn’t like: very high prices for food and gas, no chain stores, little entertainment for children (except the central promenade), poor food in cafes and cafes, poor roads, no parking. I recommend the city of Alushta if you want a relaxing and quiet holiday.

In July 2018, she visited the city of Alushta. We traveled by car, so in this city we stayed for 3 days, and then further along the Crimean coast. I did not like the central beach - there are a lot of people and high prices. But the prices for boat trips pleasantly surprised. A lot of boats and boats. The Mysteries of the Marble Cave and the Valley of the Ghosts were on excursions. Liked it, but quite expensive.

We liked the beaches of the Seven Yard, which are located close to Alushta. The first time I saw pistachio groves there. The sea is very clean, and the coastline is wide and clean. There are affordable prices and not many people.
