This small town cannot be called a resort, but what is it famous for, let's try to figure this article out.

A bit of history

Even in ancient times in the IV century BC. e. on the site of the modern village there were distant choirs of Chersonesos. Centuries changed, rulers in the II century BC. e. Scythian-Sarmatian population appeared on the territory of modern Okunevka. For the first time, the village of Okunevka was mentioned in the documentary Cameral Description of the Crimea in 1784 under the name Tarpanchi.

After the annexation of Crimea to Russia in 1783, the rulers of Russia, in their own way, were engaged in territorial transformations of the peninsula. During these transformations, the village of Tarpanchi belonged either to the Novorossiysk province, then to the Tauride province, or to the Yevpatoriya district. According to the Bulletin of Volosts and villages of April 19, 1806, it is written about the village of Tarpanchi that it has 10 yards, the population consists of Crimean Tatars.

Crimean War of 1853-56 made changes to the development of the village. During the hostilities, Tarpanchi was completely destroyed, and the Tatars left the acquired place, moving to Turkey. For several years no one lived in this territory, but after the forced resettlement of state peasants from the central Russian and Ukrainian provinces, life in the village resumed.According to 1864, there is a record in the List of Populated Places of the Tauride Province that Tarpanchi is a Russian village, which has 6 yards, 45 inhabitants, in the Black Sea.

In the Memorial Book of the Tauride Province for 1900, the changed name of the village is recorded - Tarpanchi-Biyuk with four yards, with a Russian population of 36 people. With the advent of Soviet power in Crimea, administrative borders changed again, volosts were abolished, counties changed, names of settlements changed.

From 1922 to 1948, according to the Tarpanchi-Biyuk documents, they signed how Beshi was divided into two settlements - Tarpanchi and Biyuk, then reconnected, and only in 1948, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of May 18, the permanent name was assigned to the village - Perching.
