By 1887, settlement began with immigrants from Ukraine, and by 1926 the population of the village was 73 people. In 1948, by decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the RSFSR, Jan Baba was renamed Maryino.

Currently in Maryino there is a residential private sector consisting of 19 streets, and the population is about 100 people.
