There are many resort places on the Black Sea coast of Russia, designed for both active and relaxing holidays. One of these is the village of Black Sea, located on the Crimean peninsula.

Description

On the western coast of Crimea, the Tarkhankut Peninsula, where the village is located, is issued into the sea. Black Sea. While this is not the most popular place for tourists, as not everyone has become acquainted with its unique nature and beaches. The sea in the village is not very deep and with a gentle relief. It warms up well already in the spring, and tourists open the swimming season in April. The beach here is sandy-shell, it is pleasant to wander barefoot on it or lie on a beach mat, and there are more sunny days in this place than in Sochi or Yalta. The infrastructure of this small village with a population of about 12,000 people is adapted to the influx of tourists. Studying the road map of the Crimean peninsula, it is easy to calculate that the distance from Simferopol Airport, which connects Crimea to mainland Russia, to Black Sea is 140 kilometers.

It can be overcome by bus, minibus or taxi.

History of occurrence

In the 4th century BC, the Ionian Greeks arrived on the coast of Tauris in search of an uninhabited territory. The beauties of the Tarkhankut Peninsula, its bays and fresh coastal lakes attracted their attention. They founded their settlement in the bay, which they called the Beautiful Harbor. To protect it, they built a fortress wall, enclosing four hectares of land, and decorated it with many towers.

The towers defended the town from the raids of the Dorians, Achaeans and Aeolians.

Planning to live happily ever after, the Greeks paved the streets with slabs, built residential buildings, granaries, wineries and cracked pressure in the rocks. A lighthouse was built on the shore. In the event of a siege in the basement, we arranged a warehouse with provisions. Above was a real command post.

Residents of the settlement were allocated land plots - a choir located parallel to the coastline.

In the III century BC, the regular raids of the Scythians forced the Greeks to strengthen the existing structures and build a new line of defense at the bay itself. In II BC, the city finally passed under the authority of the Scythians. Then, replacing each other, ruxolans and Huns ruled here. By the 1st century AD, the Sarmatians who invaded the northern steppes destroyed this city. The grandeur of the bay faded, and centuries later its surroundings were mastered by the Tatars.

Then it was called Ak-Mosque and was under the protectorate of the Crimean Khanate.

After the Crimean Peninsula became part of the Russian Empire, these lands became the property of Count Voinovich. After 1823, Count Vorontsov began to buy land for the development of grape and tobacco plantations. He built a marina, medical facilities, as well as the church of St. Zahara and Elizabeth. Then, in the 40s of the last century, the deportation of the Crimean Tatars broke out. Then the village was renamed the Black Sea.

Weather

The Black Sea has a unique climate. Located on Tarhankut, protruding deep into the sea, the village is surrounded by sea breezes, which act as a natural air conditioner. They change direction twice a day, so the heat in the summer is easier to carry. Small transport, sparsely populated and lack of industrial enterprises makes the air here clean and spicy. This wellness airy cocktail contains bromine, iodine and other trace elements.

The sun shines here 241 days a year, and rains in summer are rare and short-lived. In June, the air warms up to + 22 ° C, and by the end of summer it reaches + 28 ° C. This is facilitated by the features of the coastline and the relief of the seabed. The beach season begins in May and lasts until October. The climate is influenced by the sea - absorbing the sun in summer, it generously shares it in autumn and winter.

Only by March it cools, therefore spring is later here than in the inland territories.

Weather in winter is quite unpredictable. Suddenly, frost can hit up to -20 ° C, and if the wind blows from the sea, which often happens, people have to tight.

True, in recent years this rarely happens.

Summer also does not go without surprises. The heat can reach + 40 ° C, but if a north or north-west wind blows, it takes away heated layers of water far into the sea, and nails cold to the shore.

Sometimes the drop in water temperature in the sea is about 5-7 °.

How to get there

It is believed that today it is more convenient to get to Crimea by plane, especially from major Russian cities. From Moscow or St. Petersburg 3 hours of summer to Simferopol airport, and from Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar and other nearby cities - about an hour.

At the same time, the cost of the flight varies from 6 thousand rubles there and back, depending on the season and time of purchase of tickets.

Of the cities located further than Central Russia and the North Caucasus, direct flights are quite expensive. It is more rational to calculate the budget from the calculation of the flight to Krasnodar and Anapa, and then by bus to get to the resorts of Crimea.

This is less comfortable, but with significant cost savings can be justified.

You can get to the cities of southern Russia by train, and from there to the Crimean resorts by bus. In this case, a single ticket is purchased, including train tickets to southern cities and a bus ticket to Crimean health resorts.

The advantage of such a trip is to dock all flights on time. But there is also a minus - a crush in the queue for the bus and possible loss of luggage.Car owners can get to the peninsula via the new Crimean bridge, and then drive along the coast, stopping for sightseeing and swimming.

The distance in a straight line from Simferopol to Black Sea is 78 kilometers, and along the road - 144. By bus, this distance can be covered in 2 hours 50 minutes, and by car - in 2 hours 30 minutes. From the city airport you need to get to the station. You can use a trolley, minibus or taxi. Opposite the station is the bus station of Simferopol.

Regular buses depart from there to any town and village, including the Black Sea.

If you wait a long direct bus flight, you can first get to Yevpatoriya, and then transfer to a direct flight to the Black Sea. In order to hire a taxi, it is advisable to call an officially registered driver by phone.

Taxi drivers offering services at the station will take 3 times more expensive than usual cost, counting on the tourist's fatigue.

sights

In 1824, the lands near Ak-Mechetskaya harbor, together with several villages, were bought by the Governor General of Novorossia, Count Vorontsov. He was a believer, so he decided to build a church here, ordering her project to the architect Toricelli. Then in Europe there was a fashion for Gothic, so the order was executed in a pseudo-Gothic style. So the church of Saints Elizabeth and Zechariah appeared in the village with a high bell tower, which served not only its intended purpose, but was also a navigational sign.

It is still valid, but needs restoration.

An open-air museum-reserve begins near the narrow bay beach. These are the ruins of the ancient city of Kalos Limena. The stonework of the citadel, preserved to this day, shows its power.

It is noteworthy that already in those days, water and sewage systems were installed in the fortress.

The memory of Governor Vorontsov is kept not only by the church in the village, but also by the park, named in his honor Vorontsovsky. It is located on the eastern edge of the modern village on the site of the green zone, which has partially been preserved since ancient times. The count loved his settlement very much and wanted to bring its status to the county town. He ordered to bring into the garden seedlings of trees from England, Italy and Greece. It is decorated in the then fashionable style of the English landscape, as close to nature as possible. To our time, trees planted at the count are preserved. Oaks and walnuts planted two centuries ago in two girths are very rare for the steppe Crimea. Today the park does not have the status of a conservation zone. Past splendor and well-groomed are in the past.

Locals call it the Bolshevik Garden.

The local historical museum of local lore collects all the treasures found during excavations of ancient cities and Scythian barrows.

These are graceful vessels, jewelry, weapons and a plate with Scythian inscriptions.

Near the village there are interesting places worth visiting.

  • The tract in the Bolshoi Kastel beam, where rare plants and a huge colony of wild rabbits have been preserved.
  • Cape Tarkhankut itself and the lighthouse on it, which is two kilometers from the village. The height of the lighthouse is 42 meters. Snow-white limestone for its construction was brought from Inkerman in 1816.
  • The estate of official Popov, who served with Potemkin, the governor of Tavria. The building erected in the 19th century by the grandson of the official includes a park with fir trees and plants brought from different countries, and an orchard. Currently, it is transferred to the resort "Sunny Valley".
  • Near the port of the village there is a small deposit of medicinal mud. It is similar to Saki mud - silt, sulfide. Here you can use it for free to treat cardiovascular diseases, skin, genitourinary, musculoskeletal, diseases of the nervous system, central and peripheral. The dirt is kept on the body for no more than 15 minutes and is not applied to the heart area. It is recommended to rinse it off by rinsing in the sea, and not in the shower. With proper use, the therapeutic effect persists for a day. Before using it, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Entertainment and relaxation

There are no trees or sunshades on this beach, so tourists themselves take care of the shade.

The Dolphin camping site is also located here with a convenient beach and a place for cooking. If you do not want to stock up on food, you can eat at a local cafe. They offer wooden houses with a shower and toilet. On the rocky shore lies Ozhinny or Blackberry Bay. This berry once grew in abundance in these places. Interesting is the sparsely populated Karamysh Bay with a clean beach, near which there is a nudist beach behind the hills. There are only rocks around. They protect against cold winds, and bathe here even in a storm. Tourists themselves monitor the cleanliness on the shore.

Cellular communication is also absent.

The Bolshoy Kastel nature reserve preserves relic plants. A large colony of wild rabbits lives here. Vacationers live here in a town erected from tents. There are no amenities, as well as firewood that you need to bring with you. There is water in the well, but you cannot drink it raw. Guest reviews

Tourists are advised to stay in the Black Sea for people who love beach vacations away from the bustle of the city. The village is located from the airport more than 3 hours away, which is worth considering when traveling with children.

Those who like long boat trips along the coast, lovers of contemplation of natural landscapes and picturesque cliffs will also enjoy such a vacation.

Thirsty for entertainment and nightclubs, vacationers complain about the mediocrity and monotony of relaxation in the Black Sea. Some are unhappy with the crowded city beach and the fact that occasionally a blowing cold wind raises a small sandstorm. The beach itself in the steppe zone is also not admirable, although it is clean and well-groomed.

Often the sea brings algae, and behind them appear jellyfish-cornerota, which are burned.

There is a shortage of pharmacies, so medicines must be taken from home. The censure is caused by the high cost of products and essential goods in local shops and the lack of retail chains with more competitive prices.

In large stores, prices are two times higher than in Moscow, and in small stores - three.

Pleased with asphalt roads with wide comfortable sidewalks, a lot of greenery and cleanliness, but the presence of destroyed and empty buildings causes sadness.

Outdoor enthusiasts are advised to explore the surroundings both in a group and on their own, in order to feel the local flavor. It is highly recommended to visit Tarhankut,

Big and Small Atlesh, Cup of love and enjoy these wild and pristine landscapes.
