How to mask overgrown gel polish?

Partial correction does not imply a complete removal of the old coating. This is rather a successful addition to the existing decor at the base of the nail. The fusion time of the plate is very individual, and varies from a couple of weeks to a month. When performing partial corrections, the period of operation of the existing coating is extended by another two weeks.

It should be noted that this coating must be periodically (once every three months) removed completely in order to improve the nail plates, nourish them with vitamins. This period is great for restoring masks and poultices for hands and nails.

Correction of a small area of ​​the nail due to growth or cleavage can be carried out quickly enough and at home. Work stages include:

• cuticle removal;
• alignment of the processed surface;
• removal of one layer of gel polish;
• primer application;
• application of the base on the entire surface;
• gel polishing;
• intermediate drying;
• topcoat application;
• final drying.

To create a new coating, it is necessary to completely remove the old gel polish with a polyester fabric and a special liquid. Abundantly moistened tissue sections are applied to the gel and wrapped with foil for a short time - about 10 minutes. Then, the remaining coating is removed with a pusher. An alternative to this procedure can be grinding and sawing.

Next, cuticle removal and the usual nail file treatment should also follow. To remove dust from the surface, a buff and an antiseptic are used. Then, as with any manicure, the plate is covered with a base.

And finally, we can move on to design painting and surface decoration. Covered with color 2-3 times, the nails will look brighter. Ready manicure is placed under a lamp for drying.

In the end, it is necessary to strengthen the decor with a top coating, which is carefully dried. An important point is a moisturizing nourishing oil or cream for the skin around the plate and cuticle.

There are several options that save time as much as possible and help to slightly modify the initial design of the nail.

Some modern design styles harmoniously complement overgrown coverage. These include the lunar type and manicure frame. These types of decor allow you to paint the base of the work surface with another contrasting color.

Currently, gel polish of toenails is in great demand. And of course, with the growth of the nail, there is also a need for correction. It will be fair to note that such a procedure is much less necessary for a pedicure - once every 2-3 months. This is due to the slower growth of nails.

The process itself is no different from correction on the hands. But here you need to remember that partial cutting is allowed only in the absence of pain when pressing the nail. In addition, the nail file should not cling to the cuticle during processing. So, overgrown gel polish is removed in all places where the old coating leaves. And then a standard decorating and drying procedure is performed.
