Do you have a favorite t-shirt. Or not, not so - you HAD a favorite T-shirt. She got tired of you, got dirty, lost her shape. It’s a pity you have to throw it away or put it on rags. Or maybe try to give her a new life? A little imagination and perseverance - and again you have a favorite T-shirt.
You will need:
The template by which you will make cuts or cuts (or a clear idea of what you are going to do).
Sharp pointed scissors or clerical knife.
A piece of fiberboard or plastic the size of your t-shirt.
Hook or knitting needles if you want to get woven cuts;
Optional decor.
You can first train “on cats”, that is, on something completely unnecessary, or you can take a chance and immediately cut the shirt itself.
Section options can be divided into:
Local:
- in the collar area (semicircular cuts are suitable), while the elastic can be cut off;
- on the sleeves (vertical sections look stylish);
- on the back and front (at different heights);
- side (you can choose a great option with a sewn cloth with horizontal cuts made from the same t-shirt or sewn lace).
Towards:
- vertical
- horizontal
- diagonal
- semicircular;
- you can even cut out patterns if you are sure that they will look good on this particular t-shirt
In shape:
- flat stripes;
- "Shoelaces";
- intertwined, for example, in the form of braids.
Sequencing:
Decide on the place and shape of the cut.
“Put on” the T-shirt on a flat surface (chipboard, board, plastic, plexiglass) so that the cuts are obtained on only one side of the T-shirt without damaging the second.
Draw a line of cuts with a chalk or a piece of soap
Now the worst thing is we cut it! Make two cuts one below the other. Try to avoid chipping.
With your thumb and forefinger, grasp the opposite base of the cut and pull the fabric slightly to the sides. As a result, when you release the fabric, the edges of the cut will curl and you will get not flat stripes, but “laces”.
So do with each cut strip, stretching it necessarily in the direction in which you cut the fabric - if you cut it horizontally, then pull it in the horizontal direction, in the case of a vertical cut - in the vertical.
Further, if you wish, you can already put on your new T-shirt and wear, or you can still bind the stripes together using a crochet hook.
If you want, decorate with feathers, rhinestones, beads. The main thing is not to overdo it.
Note: do not make too many cuts, the naked body effect in this version is not very beautiful, not to mention the fact that it is not always appropriate.
Interesting ideas for cuts on a t-shirt:
Vertical cuts at the bottom of the shirt or at the bottom of the sleeves. The result is a fringe, which will look especially good if you tie the tip of each strip with the most ordinary knot and decorate it with a bead.
Dissected ornament. Apply a stencil to the fabric, and then cut the pattern with small notches. The result looks especially impressive on bright things.
"Ribs." Can be placed on your back or stomach, depending on the shape and your courage. Make them wide from above and tapering down - this will add an originality to the image.
Make several horizontal cuts from bottom to top every 4-5 cm in the side of the T-shirt, thread a bright ribbon into them and tie a beautiful bow on your shoulder - your new, quite glamorous thing is already not even a T-shirt.
A very interesting option is obtained if several vertical cuts are made to the left and to the right of the neck, and the resulting strips are fastened to each other with staples arranged in a checkerboard pattern.
If your T-shirt is already quite stretched down, then making and intertwining vertical sections in the lower part of it, you can not only narrow the bottom of the stretched T-shirt, but also imitate the hippie style.
The cutout option on the T-shirt looks very impressive, under which or on which lace or other fabric is sewn.
