Fashion is a very capricious lady with a changeable mood, and it is far from always possible to keep up with her. Within a short period of time, current models can be replaced by a completely opposite style. To always be in a trend, you need to have a decent financial situation, or ... a little imagination and knowledge!

As for jeans, fashion every new fashion season presents surprises. Today, classic is in fashion, and tomorrow - military, today the print in the form of holes is relevant, and tomorrow - stains. How to decorate ordinary jeans on your own so that they cannot be distinguished from the store model?

Making spectacular stains

Light jeans are becoming more popular, especially those models that have uneven colors. With the help of chemicals, you can independently decorate a new product, or give new life to jeans long abandoned in the far corner of the wardrobe. Let's take a closer look at how to do this.

White or other bleach

In order to lighten the jeans with whiteness or other means, you need to pour water into the container and add bleach to it. When you lower the jeans into it, stir them with a wooden stick or with your hands in thick rubber gloves. Carefully observe the color change so as not to miss the shade you need

. If the jeans have not changed their color, then you may have come across whiteness of inadequate quality or the concentration of the active substance in it is less than what is stated on the label.In this case, carefully add a little more bleach to the solution and continue to observe the color.

To make light stains on jeans, you need to lower them into a container with a solution of whiteness in a twisted state. It is important to consider that the more tightly twisted jeans, the smaller the size of the stains. In order to achieve the strongest effect, the twisting places must be fixed with clamps, and to obtain vertical patterns of twisting, the jeans legs should be tightly fixed with tight elastic bands.

After achieving the desired result, jeans must be thoroughly rinsed in running water, and then washed with ordinary powder in a washing machine.

Important! If the exposure time of the fabric in the solution or its concentration is not observed, you can spoil the thing - denim will become thinner and holes may appear on it.

Hydrogen peroxide

Compared to caustic whiteness, clarification with hydrogen peroxide will give a light effect. You can soak the jeans in water with the addition of peroxide, or you can add it to the compartment for washing powder during washing. Do not worry about the safety of your washing machine, hydrogen peroxide will not harm it.

Using soda

Conventional baking soda also gives a light bleaching effect that can be enhanced by repeating washing.

Unlike hydrogen peroxide, jeans with soda should be washed only on hands, because it will adversely affect the drum and other internal parts of the washing machine.

Using a cleaning agent such as Domestos

The active components of cleaning products for bathrooms and toilets are also quite capable of making jeans lighter. To do this, dilute ½ cup of concentrated product in three liters of water and leave for some time to clarify.

Once the desired result is achieved, jeans must be thoroughly rinsed. A significant disadvantage of this bleaching method is the strong smell that comes from the product. It completely disappears only after at least three washes with fabric softener.

With lemon juice

Lemon is a popular natural bleach, on the basis of which lightening creams for the skin are made, clean nails and etch dark hair. Its properties may well be used when changing the color of the fabric. To do this, jeans must be soaked in a strong solution of lemon juice or citric acid, and left for a while.

Also with lemon solution can be washed in a washing machine - automatic machine. He will not only not harm her, but even vice versa, he will clear the scale from the heating element and remove plaque from the inside of the machine.

How to fully lighten jeans - "digest" them?

The most popular “boiled” jeans model in the 80s of the last century conquers fashionable heights again. Today it can be bought without problems in a store, unlike a scarce USSR. But if you still want to pay tribute to time and make them yourself, this is not at all difficult.

For this you will need:

  • White;
  • Water;
  • Volume enameled container (basin or bucket);
  • Latex gloves;
  • Wooden or plastic spatula for mixing;
  • Jeans themselves.

To prepare the clarifier, you need to dilute the whiteness in the container (at the rate of 1 cup of whiteness per 7 liters of liquid), and put it on fire. When boiling the solution, lower the previously twisted tight jeans into the water, preventing them from floating to the surface. A wooden stirrer prepared in advance is perfect for this.

In order to make an interesting decor on boiled jeans, there are several simple ways:

  • Stars can be obtained by making clips on the fabric with regular clothespins. It is better to take wood, because from them when boiling paint does not stand out, which can stain jeans;
  • To receive thin stains jeans should be twisted weakly, for wide - much tighter. It is best to fix with a colorless rope so that it does not fade into the solution when boiling;
  • You can lighten only one leg, or only the upper part of jeans. To do this, we lower the necessary part into the solution, and keep the rest of the product dry during the entire clarification process.

As soon as the water with jeans boils, we note the time - at least 10 minutes, maximum - choose for yourself, depending on the desired result.

After that, we remove the jeans from the bucket or basin, straighten and rinse under running cold water. It is advisable to dry them in the open air so that all the smell of chlorine disappears.

Tips

  • For clarification it is better to take jeans from classic denim blue or blue, because it is on these models that the best result will be obtained.
  • In order to make a gradient pattern, you can use a sponge moistened in a bleach of different concentrations. Sequentially process the sections of jeans according to the print, leave for a while, and then rinse thoroughly. The result will exceed all your expectations!
  • You can make simple drawings using citric acid. Pick up a stencil of the picture, and paint it with a brush with a solution of lemon. If you want to make a drawing on only one side of the jeans, then between the legs when working, be sure to lay a rubber pad or a thick layer of cellophane.
  • Using a spray gun, you can get a very interesting print. Of course, it will not be possible to achieve a clear color border, but you can safely experiment with the intensity of lightening.
  • In addition to bleaches, You can lighten areas of denim with ordinary sandpaper, tapping jeans in the right places. But with this method, the torn places become vulnerable, and soon, holes may appear on them.

Remember safety

Since jeans bleaching involves the use of chemicals, it is important not to harm your health and the health of others. To do this, observe basic safety rules.

Remember that whiteness is dangerous undiluted! If it gets on the skin, it can cause a chemical burn, and if you inhale its vapors, you can get severe poisoning. Therefore, when working with her, try to carry out all the procedures in the absence of children in the room, as an immature organism is most susceptible to the components of the bleach. Always wear tight rubber gloves.

If you are dealing with a concentrated substance, then wear protective glasses, since undiluted whiteness is very detrimental to the mucous membrane of the eye.

When working with hydrogen peroxide, remember that it is very flammable, so do all the manipulations away from open flame. If peroxide gets into your eyes, it can seriously damage the cornea, so be careful not to spray any liquids that might get into your eyes from the solution during operation. If this still happened, then they should be washed with running water for at least 15 minutes, and then consult a doctor immediately.
