All About Deer Type Chihuahuas

Chihuahua is a breed of small cute dogs that has several varieties. The most popular of them are fluffy cobbles and shorthair deers. The second type of kids look like deer, they were called deer, which means "deer" in English. There are not many of these babies in Russia, since larger, long-haired cobbies are popular with us, but the fragile grace of deers was liked by the inhabitants of the North American continent.

There are several versions about the origin of the Chihuahua breed. One of them leads to the jungle in the territory of Mexico, where before the discovery of America there were leaky dogs. They were long-haired and larger than modern chihuahuas. Since the 9th century AD, the territory of modern Mexico has been inhabited by the Toltec people, who tamed the leakies.

First, dogs were used as food, then as helpers during the hunt. Found the burial of the owners along with the dogs. In the XII century, the Aztecs ousted the Toltecs from their lands, they adopted the customs of the expelled people and continued to use dogs for hunting and as ritual burials.

By the middle of the 16th century, the Aztec civilization was destroyed by the conquistadors, and domestic animals were brutally destroyed. Only parts of the dogs that managed to escape into the jungle and eventually run wild survived. Much later, the Mexicans tamed forest animals again. In the middle of the XIX century, Americans became interested in cute small dogs and began to buy puppies from local residents.

There is a second, European version of the origin of the breed of small dogs. Breeders found that Chihuahuas are born with an unbroken fontanel, just like the lapdogs of the Mediterranean island of Malta, located near Italy.In evidence, proponents of this theory cited the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, where the Italian artist Botticelli portrayed a boy with a dog, very reminiscent of a modern Chihuahua.

The painting was done in 1481, before the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus. The end of the dispute in this matter was put by genetics, who confirmed the relationship of the leak with the modern look of miniature dogs.

In 1923, the United States was created First National Chihuahua Club, at the same time, they compiled the official standard of the dog, which applied only to the smooth-haired appearance. In 1954, a second standard (with two varieties) of this animal was developed at the British Chihuahua Club.

The fawn dog is so light and graceful that during running it gives the impression of hovering above the ground, as if its paws did not touch it. According to the breed standard, the size of the animal should not exceed 23 centimeters at the withers. Babies weigh from half a kilogram to three kg. Chihuahua looks as follows.

• A small head with an elongated muzzle and large high-set ears is associated in some with a deer, in others with a bat.
• The eyes are not large, but convex, so they seem expressive.
• The nose repeats the dominant color, although it may be black.
• The neck is longer when compared to a kobby.
• The body of a chihuahua deer is small, rectangular, with a light bone system. The lack of visible musculature emphasizes the fragility of the rock.
• The chest is narrow, on a small body it looks harmonious.
• A straight, straight back turns into a slightly understated croup.
• A taut belly completes the image of a slim figure.
• On the long thin limbs, muscle mass is not at all guessed. Therefore, the gait of the dog seems shallow, fussy.
• The tail is thin, quite standard, but when compared to a kobby, it’s a bit long.
• Short hair fits tightly to the body.

Even before the middle of the last century, a deer type chihuahua was very popular.

Mood changes are perhaps the only flaw in the character of these babies. Their meritorious quality is the courage with which they rush at the offender of the owner. Despite the apparent fragility, Chihuahuas are quite hardy and strong. They are attached to the owner, can get along with all family members and pets, but are wary of strangers. Dogs are mobile, playful, inquisitive and smart enough.

Chihuahua deer is not created for the street, such a dog can live only at home. But for a walk it needs to be deduced, as they do with all dogs. Do not do this in the winter. During the off-season decrease in temperature, the pet is put on special clothing.

Although the dog is smooth-haired, it needs to be combed out several times a week. They rarely bathe a pet. Nails are cut twice a month. Ears and eyes should be checked regularly so as not to miss the inflammatory process. The dog is given treats designed to cleanse the teeth of food plaque, for the same purpose she gnaws on toys.

Your pet’s diet may include special industrial foods designed for small dogs. But often the owners feed them with natural products: meat, boiled fish without bones, cereals. Vegetables are added to one third of the dishes, mixing them with meat and porridge.
