Dobra Voda in Montenegro: climate, attractions and leisure

If we talk about proximity to major resorts in the country, from Kotor Dobra-Voda is located after 69 kilometers, from Podgorica - 59 km, and from the airport it will take 1.5 hours to get to the place.

From any point of a small village to the beach, the road takes only ten minutes. It is worth saying that this place is not one of the most visited, so the water and the beach are cleaner here.

The beach in the village is mostly pebble, but you can also find sandy areas. There is an opportunity to use a deck chair and an umbrella. For guests to be comfortable, showers and toilets are installed throughout the entire length.

Yachts are often moored off the coast, they offer to go on a boat trip or fishing. With the onset of the evening, bars open their entertainment programs, live music plays.

If you walk north along the beach area, you can walk to the wild beach. This protected area is covered with pebbles and large boulders, the descent to the water is convenient, the water is very clean.

Nearby is an olive grove, which attracts with the amazing aroma of fragrant trees, as well as the beach of Joy, which is distinguished by a large number of springs flowing into the sea.

What is remarkable for Good Water: there is a lot of vegetation around it and it is not only an olive grove, but also centuries-old oaks, exotic flowers. The air here is very healthy because it is saturated with essential oils. This is the main reason why tourists from all over the world come here who suffer from lung problems. Indeed, the resort is ideal for those who want to improve their own health.

Weather in Dobra Voda depends on the season. Most of the year - and this is 272 days - here you can enjoy the sun. The summers are dry and rainfall is extremely rare; rains are mostly characteristic of the winter period.

The Mediterranean climate allows the air temperature to warm up during the peak season to +35 C, while the water temperature in the sea is +25 C. Despite the fact that vacationers begin to arrive in Montenegro from the beginning of April, it’s cold to swim until the end of May, since the sun doesn’t so active, and the water reaches a mark of +17 C.

It should be noted that in the village itself it is difficult to find the sights, and if they are, they do not attract much attention from tourists. The most valuable here are air and water, which has a rich turquoise color due to its purity.

When Yugoslavia still existed, a recreation center for asthma patients began to be built nearby, but the construction was never completed. Today it is a great place for a beach holiday, the most popular beaches are Veliky and Maly Pesak, which are actually not sandy, but pebbled. Both of these places are considered a protected area, therefore, they also strictly monitor the cleanliness on their territory.

It is difficult to say whether Villa Abramovich is considered a tourist attraction, but tourists come to see it, although you can’t get too close to the building.

One of the most popular activities in Dobra Voda is fishing.

Not so long ago, the ruins of an ancient church were found, which are located near the Great Piezak beach in the bay. Coins were found there, according to which it was possible to establish that the structure was erected in the distant IV century. So far, the place has not been ennobled, so the find is not included in the list of modern attractions.

North of the village, you should definitely visit the observation deck, which was opened in 2016, and its area is 200 square meters. m

Despite the small area of ​​the village, there are up to 150 options for settlement here, including even super-budget hostels.

If you want to spend your vacation in super-chic conditions, then you can recommend the Kalamper Hotel & Spa, opened in 2017, the hallmark of which is its own spa and chic restaurant. The bar is available for anyone who comes, but the pool is only for hotel guests.

There is the opportunity to settle directly at the beach in Apartments Sidro. Here the rooms are located just 10 meters from the sea. All apartments are equipped with TVs and air conditioning, there is a kitchen where you can cook your desired dishes. For those who do not want to go down to the water, there is a private terrace where you can sunbathe.

For numerous tourists here they tried to equip the beaches with the highest quality. They are distinguished not only by cleanliness, but also by convenient descent to the sea, the presence of umbrellas and sun loungers. The coastal territory is wide enough to accommodate everyone, there is a wild beach a little north of the village.

If the study of local attractions takes place by car, then you should definitely go up to the observation deck located between the two tunnels. For convenience, the organizers made a large parking lot nearby. It offers amazing views of the coastal zone and the village as a whole.

In the afternoon, when the beach is too hot, you can stroll through the market or shops, where there is something to choose not only from souvenirs. They bring inexpensive clothes from Italy, but they are famous for their high quality.

In the evening there is the opportunity to stroll along the promenade, enjoy the view and coolness, buy a souvenir in one of the shops or just drink coffee. Small night clubs open for young people with the onset of night, but they in no way spoil the atmosphere of pacification for those who come here to rest with their children.

You should definitely try the local wines, as they are distinguished by a rich bouquet.. In the fall, ripe fruits begin to appear in the markets. Fish is cooked very tasty here, it is always fresh and is sold right along the coast. If you wish, you can engage in fishing yourself.

After arriving at the airport you have to get to the village. The one located in Podgorica is located 60 kilometers from Dobra Voda. Most often, charter flights arrive here, departing from Moscow, Ufa, Tyumen and some other major cities of the country. A little further, at a distance of 71 kilometers, is the Tivat airport - here the planes of the same airlines arrive.

You can take a taxi directly from the airport or take public transport, but you have to get to the bus station, which is why taxi drivers are very persistent. Once at the bus station, you always need to check the relevance of the schedule of these flights, since changes are made every season.

From Podgorica to Dobra-Voda, the road takes more than an hour, longer from Tivat - almost two hours and twenty minutes.You can catch a bus to Ulcinj, as they are passing.

There is no railway branch here, only a high-speed train from Bar to Podgorica. From Bar you can get to the village by minibus.

If you decide to take a taxi, then it is better to make an order in advance, since taxi drivers at the airport take expensive.

It should be understood that the resort in the summer and the rest of the year are two completely different places. At the very peak on the beach you can’t find a place, it becomes very dirty, although local people try to clean it often. Dobra Voda is a good option for early spring or even autumn, when the flow of tourists decreases, but the temperature still allows you to relax with benefit for yourself.

In winter, everything dies out here, sightseeing programs are almost all closed, like numerous hotels. This is exactly the time when the active construction of new residential complexes begins, so staying completely in silence will not work.
