All about female combinations

Not every woman has a combination in her wardrobe. Someone considers it an attribute that is not included in the modern understanding of basic things, someone has never encountered this subject at all.

Interest in the combination is growing today, because fashion is developing in a spiral, and many vintage things are becoming trendy.

The combination is called an elegant fitting women's shirt, which is worn over underwear, under a dress. The main task of such an element of the wardrobe is to enable the dress to sit better on the figure. Once upon a time, the combination was derived from a shirt and pantaloons, or rather, was able to combine this underwear together.

In Tsarist Russia underwear sewed on order. Soviet combinations were available to every woman, they were sewn from a simple fabric that could easily withstand even boiling. In the 50s years, the fashion has become more sophisticated: combinations began to sew from silk and cotton fabrics. And in the 70s synthetics - viscose and nylon - were added to the production.

Of course, it is not worth treating reprehensibly a combination. There were really unattractive models, but there were no less beautiful, feminine, seductive, elegant patterns. And if the Soviet fashionista "got" the imported combination, one could truly be proud of such a booty. These were, as a rule, silk patterns with a tint that adorned any figure.

In other countries (if we draw a parallel with Soviet fashion and light industry), there were combinations too, but they were called differently. Basically, this name beat the phrase “bottom dress”. We can say that everywhere an elegant women's shirt was considered a combination.

• The dragging (correcting figure) model. Today there are a lot of such underwear, it is comfortable and inconspicuous. With the combination it was a little harder, it was especially difficult to make a summer bow with a combination under the dress. But on the other hand, you couldn’t worry about extra centimeters at the waist.

• With snap-on straps. If the outfit suggested their absence, then the straps simply unfastened. For young girls, it was normal practice to acquire such a model, because many blouses were transparent, I wanted to open my shoulders. But the décolleté zone was open in moderation; everything else was hidden by an elegant combination.

• On wide and narrow straps (loose fit). Typically, women acquired both options. Narrow shoulder straps were not always comfortable, but this type of linen was suitable for many outfits. With narrow straps, the combination became a more elegant element of the wardrobe.

• Smart and standard. If the combination was made of beautiful shiny and gliding fabrics, then heavy dresses and tight skirts lay on them perfectly - folds easily fell, and gatherings found a pleasant drapery to the eye.

• Fabric. These are models that sewed from silk (natural and artificial) and cotton fabrics. You could buy a combination of taffeta, chiffon, batiste, marquise, crepe de chine.

• Knitted. They were made from viscose, kapron and acetate threads. Models could be with side inserts, without them, with inserts forming a flare.

• Batiste. Summer women's sets and shirts, which are made from linen or cotton yarn, are sewed from it. And to make the surface shine pleasantly, the canvas is mercerized. It adds strength and elasticity, and therefore becomes wear-resistant.

• Atlas. This fabric involves a satin weave of fibers, the front side is shiny and smooth, and the wrong side is rough and matte. Typically, rayon is used to produce satin, combined with cotton, nylon or polyester. Satin combinations are often performed with lace.

• Micromodal. In appearance, it is not inferior to the atlas and does not say that it loses silk fabric. Recycled beech cellulose allows you to get a thin and lightweight canvas. Outwardly, the material is similar to artificial silk, but it is ten times stronger than it.

• Lyocell. Another word that many women hear for the first time. This is an ultramodern cellulosic material that is made from eucalyptus wood. The appearance of the fabric depends on the density and structure of its weaving. Lyocell can resemble flax, and silk, and cotton. It is an environmentally friendly, hygroscopic, airtight material with high wear resistance.

• Guipure. This lace option makes a smart shirt a sexy element of the wardrobe. This beautiful fabric is represented by convex patterns that are connected by the finest mesh. They make guipure from natural silk threads, connecting them with elastane and polyester. The fabric is light, transparent, dimensionally stable and, undoubtedly, practical.

• Kulirka, interlock. From this delicate knitwear, combinations are made less often, but such an option also occurs. Things made from these fabrics are hygroscopic and breathable. They are completely safe for health, have good thermoregulation and color fastness. Finally, they are very easy to care for. Knitted combinations are comfortable, warm, light, wearing them in the winter is useful not only for a better view of your own figure, but for keeping warm.

• Bamboo. Both underwear sets and combinations are made from it. Innovative textile is considered artificial, but it is a very environmentally friendly material. This is a high-strength fabric that is pleasant to the skin - it is soft and elastic. Absolutely hypoallergenic material, characterized by hygroscopicity, breathability and the ability to neutralize not the most pleasant odors.

In color terms, there should be no problems finding a combination. In the Soviet years, the choice was not great, and one of the most popular colors was "bodily". I must say that models of this color are popular today. As the demand for underwear that merges with the skin precisely because of such a skin tone is growing, so are combinations more and more often choosing “natural”.

• beige - it’s difficult to do without it if the pastel gamut of colors prevails in your wardrobe;
